CONGRATULATIONS to MILAD MAFI from the whole Microsoft HPC-TEAM!

He approached the HPC Product team in November 2006 as he wanted to do his research based on Windows HPC. The German HPC team sponsored him in the last year. In the general contest a lot of teams are working with Linux in their research projects so a Microsoft appearance got some good attention.

Milad is a great presenter and talked on congresses already promoting Windows HPC. Examples are several Ansys / Ansys Partner conferences all over Europe as well as also on the HPC user group meeting in Aachen, the organization of German Automotiv companies AVI, trades Shows like CEBIT and ISC/SC and several other events. His demos are an eye catcher on Microsoft demo places like ISC07/ISC08 in Dresden and SC07 in Reno as well as also CEBIT. Beside these activities we had about 7 articles in public magazines like “Formular-1 constructor”, “Race tech”, “Digital Engineering” Ansys-US user magazine “Advantage” Ansys Germany user Magazin “ Info Planer” and many more. (one German article enclosed)

Also Milad has now a practicum at Toyota Formular-1 for bringing in his research to the industry. Several other teams like BMW-Sauber, McLaren are also in talks with him.

Many thanks to Matej Ciesko for helping in setting up systems for him and supporting him, as well as also Ines Gensinger from the German Press team of helping to get the message out to public.

We are happy to have such a bright kid in our V-team and hope to be able to continue the collaboration also in the coming FY. [more photos]
