Mohammad Modarres

Meet me at the Golden Gate Bridge

Dear friends & family in Northern California, Salam; As many of you might be aware that our son Mohammad is cycling across the country (from Baltimore to San Francisco) to raise money and awareness for cancer. This coming Saturday, he will reach Golden Gate Bridge, ending his 4000-mile cycling journey. He started his mission two month ago and along the way he experienced first hand a deadly tornado in Illinois, a cartographical flood in Iowa and Kansas, ended up in hospital in Nebraska after a minor accident; but most importantly met hundreds of cancer victims and talked to as many others about the danger of cancer and significance of its early detection. We are proud of him and will fly to SF to welcome him as well as thanking him for his efforts and hard work. Everyone is welcome to join us in this small ceremony that would be held at about 9:00 am when he and his other 25 cyclemates will reach the Golden Gate Bridge. Meanwhile take a look at their website and enjoy their pictures at www.hopkins4k.org.
