by t (not verified) on Fri Aug 22, 2008 02:19 PM PDTFirstly, the differnce between Nakisa and Sahar (the girl with the Hejab) is that Nakisa does not identify her modeling with a bikini, etc... as part of her cultural identity.
Also, you must be deaf or blind not to know that the great majority of the young women in Iran are prostituting themselves whether it is for the basics or luxury. Why do you think Iranian men love to go home. The sex is cheap and more importantly easily ascertainable on every street corner and party. I persoanlly have a friend who is 52 who just moved to Iran and is being offered services by 20-25 year olds. Why? Because he is wealthy. He was a playboy here but he says it was never as easy as it is in Iran. I twas harder to pick up a girl at a bar in LA than it is a family girl at a mehmooni in Iran. He just has to buy a piece of jewelry or something for her the next day.

by Ali1234 (not verified) on Fri Aug 22, 2008 01:02 PM PDTI wasn't talking about hejab in Iran but referring to a video clip that was posted on Iranian.com a few days ago; it was about a young Iranian girl who had CHOSEN to wear the hejab in the U.S and everyone on this website was attacking her and insulting her, claiming that hejab is not part of our Iranian "identity".
Now, we have this young Iranian girl crawling naked on her hands and knees in front of the camera, posing like prostitutes on a couch and cleaning the pool half-naked, and it doesn't seem to bother the patriotic defenders of the Iranian identity on this website!

Yes. That must explain why the US has fallen so far behind the rest of the world when it comes to scientific and technical innovation.
And obiously we have no sexual freedom because we don't enforce human rights by forcing our women to wear tents.
It all makes perfect sense, once you explain it to us!

by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:47 AM PDTThe difference between hejab and this:
Hejab is forced upon women in Iran. This girl chooses to wear a bikini and be photographed.
Neither one is part of our culture. But there's a lot to be said for choosing something versus having it imposed upon you.

by Ali1234 (not verified) on Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:07 AM PDTWho told you that girls in Iran sell their bodies for a pair of jeans and a sandwich?!!!!!! Where is this nonsense coming from? Why do the Iranian abroad always insist on showing an ugly and distorted image of Iran to the world?
And isn't there any other choice for an Iranian girl other than becoming a prostitute or a cheap model?!
There are often good
by varjavand on Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:09 AM PDTThere are often good quality articles on this site; they hardly grab our attention. They receive only few comments. However, the 47 seconds video clips like this and the one posted Aug. 13 under Aylar Lie agitate our umbilical cord. They trigger countless number of comments including a few by myself. Why?
Are we obsessed with trivia?
You call legal pedophilia a good thing??
by sickofiri (not verified) on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:39 AM PDTAt least she is not 9 years old being raped by a 30-year old pervert as her husband...
In Iran, young girls sell their bodies for a pair of Jeans or a sandwich. At least, she is not a coward and she is honest with herself.
Modeling is not the same as prostituting.
In Quom, Iranian girls with their black tents on their head are often prostitues or one-hour sigheh for all the talabehs...
If she was posing for mullahs as a sigheh then she would have had the approval of our moronic doctoer, faribors maleknasri??

by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Fri Aug 22, 2008 08:50 AM PDTبابا ما ايراني هاي با فرهنگ؟؟!!! كي ميخوايم ياد بگيريم كه به حريم ديگران احترام بگذاريم؟؟ به من و شما چه كه يكي ديگه چه كاره است ؟ In case of the Models I would like to emphasize that each such pic breakes the HARIMS of the sexual life of others. Breakes the right of other poeple to organize their (sexual-) life as they want. any porn pic, story, film an so on interferes in other poeple`s life. making porn pics, films, etc. is possible and alloud also in the Islamic Republic of Iran IF and only IF it happens in private sphere and discretly. In these limits one can say: sure it is HER life and she can do what she wants and undo her bra in the way as she likes. But damaging the humanrights is not a matter of privacy. That is what I mean to likewise pics and stories. specially youth-protection laws are hier damaged. so she does not lives her own life, she damages the social orders which have to protect the social freedom and peace. So I mean the reason why "IRANIAN" brings such pics + the comments is only to say to strangers: Please please come and take again from Iran whatever you whish as you did for many hundred of years and look hier: we are all modern, we even take off our clothes in front of cameras. And taking into account that porn comes basically from west so it is a struggle of westerns to propagate their - free of cultur - cultur against cultural rules of other Nations in order to be able somedays in the futur to open the doors for themselves again and rubbing their wealth for only a Sale-prise. Being capable of standing in front of a camera...and...what else?
Christ all mighty, we are sinking in this whirlpool of retention and shallowness.
Yes, sure, not every Iranian should be a PhD or MD. or PE after their name to be an established Iranian, but a college kid posing?...c'mon people.

But at least she does what she wants!! I have a big repect for iranian women who poses in front of camera because i know how conservative and hypocrite our iranian community is.

Modelling and beauty pageants are the worst of Western Culture? I suppose you must be acting pretty high up on the "bad" list too, then? Well, have no fear... nearly every Iranian I've ever met was either an engineer or a computer programmer! I'd love to meet some Iranian models but so far, no such luck!
too fat or too flat?

by Dahati (not verified) on Thu Aug 21, 2008 08:18 PM PDTIn one comment, I said she is fat and that's all I said and my comment was deleted. So I would rephrase, she doesn't look like a model to me. She is pretty but she is no model material. Well, Aylar Lie did look like a super model. This girl can still do commercials but no real model work. Hate me if you want but that's the truth.

by skatermom (not verified) on Thu Aug 21, 2008 05:57 PM PDTShe's not fat. She's tacky as hell but not fat. If an Iranian dude was cleaning the pool nobody would discuss his body mass index. Ali1234 is right though. We don't want our women wearing the hejab and yet we criticize them when they pose half naked. What's the acceptable happy medium for us Iranians. A nice pant suit, a knee length sun dress perhaps?
