YES ! DEEEEE END!
Do we owe Palestinians the victory of the Islamic revolution?
by TO MEHDI (not verified) on Wed Aug 13, 2008 01:06 PM PDTWhy do we Iranians have to suffer for Palestinians? Have palestinians suffered for us Iranians? why do we constantly have to stick our heads up for Arab Sunni Palestinians and their cause?
You say well we are all muslims and they are all our brothers and sisters and in the spirit of muslimhood and for the sake of humanity, we have to support them, I say Muslim HUMANS in other parts of the world are suffering as well; in Chechnya for one, how come we do not stick our heads up for them?
Palestinians are Sunni mulsims, majority of Iranians are shiites; beside Palestinians never cared or stuck their heads up for Iranians even when their leader Yasser was pocketing Iran's money, he was siding with Saddam Hussein, Iran's fiercest enemy. YOU TELL ME WHY SHOULD IRAN AND IRANIANS be the ones to be sacrificed/destroyed for the cause of Arab Sunni Palestinians? Is there a shortage of Sunni muslim countries to care for them and be sacrificed instead? Why do we owe them so much?
Do mullahs owe Palestinians the victory of the Islamic revolution? Is that the reason Iranians have to keep paying them off for as long as Iran exists?
Truth & Reconciliation!
by Appalled (not verified) on Wed Aug 13, 2008 11:19 AM PDTWe Iranians need to look at South Africa and learn a lesson from their Truth & Reconciliation Commission if we are to heal our wounds and try and move forward. There has been plenty of suffering on all sides and crimes committed by all sides, no one is innocent. It won't be easy or simple especially considering our history of wanting to get even and inflict as much pain and hurt on other Iranians who have hurt us but if the South Africans who are a multi-racial & cultural society have been able to do it then I hope that we can too. What other solution is there?
Revolution Ate its Own Children ...
by Darius Kadivar on Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:39 AM PDTThe Forouhar's assassination was horrible, cowardly and unfair. Their Assassins are on the Run and I feel very sad for their children and family.
However and they were not the only ones to be betrayed by the Revolution they so adamantly supported. Dariush Homayoun and his wife Parvaneh were intelligent people but were misguided by the Revolutionary Slogans of 1979 rather than joining another future victim Dr. Shapour Bakhtiar and his government who was also assassinated in similar and horrendous circumstances in a Paris Suburb.
Those who think Revolutions are Just a Picnic and that the good people are on one side and the Bad People on the other are Simplistic fools. Revolutions are often worse than Wars because you can't name or see your true enemy.
God Bless these poor souls and may their assassins and culprits be brought to Justice one day for their crimes.
Iran Hargez Nakhahad Mord !
Fred: This is not about Israel's crimes-she's talking about Iran
by Mehdi on Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:06 AM PDTNobody has been able to justify Israel's 60 years of violent crimes. I think in he US it is practically illegal to even mention those crimes. Your poetic one-liners (and then running away and hiding behind Mosad agents) is very amusing.
Justifying cold blooded murders
by Fred on Wed Aug 13, 2008 06:44 AM PDTIslamist/Anti-Semites and their likeminded lefty allies are just marvelous.
Very poetic but not very honest
by Mehdi on Tue Aug 12, 2008 01:47 PM PDTthe real story is something closer to this: there was an extremist group influenced by KGB. There was another extremist group influenced by CIA. Both group wanted power. Neither one wanted true democracy or freedom. Some people believed one or the other group and got caught in the crossfire. End of story. This had nothing to do with the actual people. It's time this dishonesty stopped.
