I didn't know there were that many ! I was 9 in 1979 and don't remember much about the period before the revolution. I wonder why the left and extrem left were so popular in Iran? Is it because it was forbidden ? Censored ? Did Dariush's songs help push the young adults in that direction ? That deep existential despair despite the great economic success of the nation is a big question in my mind...I wish the Shah had let people read and think freely...too bad...too late.

It has been a long time since I posted on Iranian.com last.
