Rumi's mistake

Rumi made a clear factual error in this famous poem. What is the mistake? There were no Muslims in the time of Moses.

دید موسی یک شبانی را براه

تو کجایی تا شوم من چاکرت
چارقت دوزم کنم شانه سرت
دستکت بوسم بمالم پایکت
وقت خواب آید بروبم جایکت
اي خداي من فدايت جان من
جمله فرزندان و خان و مال من
ای فدای تو همه بزهای من
ای بیادت هیهی و هیهای من
گر تو را بيماري آيد به پيش
من تو را غمخوار باشم همچو خويش
گفت موسي هان خيره سر شدي
خود مسلمان ناشده کافر شدی
گر نبندی زین سخن تو حلق را
آتشی آید بسوزد خلق را
گفت ای موسی دهانم دوختی
وز پشیمانی تو جانم سوختی

I expected much more than this from you two ladies. I can't blame JJ for having no literary acumen but from those who claim to love Hafez and Mowlavi!!!

A wrong question attracts the wrong answer. "Factual Error"!!!! Where did you learn such pompous words from :) ? The two factual errors on this page are the erroneous question and the answer to that erroneous question.

This is why I never take Quiz seriously. It is only entetaining and what an entertainment you two gave us. Thanks for the laugh ladies :))

As Mr. Afshar has clearly indicated the prophet Abraham is considered the very first Moslem and all who came after him and obeyed God are considered Moslems by definition
So anyone who might even begin to think they have caught Mowlana in a factual error has made a grave error
As the saying goes-- we only see to the tip of our noses and not beyond... and we consider ourselves exceedindgly knowledgeable about this world and ...MORE

Hi,
Please note that the word "Muslim" means one who obeys God. Prophet Abraham was considered the first Muslim. As you know,the word "Muslim"
has many definitios and applications. Mo'lawna is so much grater than making a silly mistake like that.
