From The Hills to The Paris
by Reza411 (not verified) on Sun May 25, 2008 11:44 PM PDTAre you guy's kidding??? Paris Hilton parties at this guy's club. Everyday should be Sam Nazarian day.
Perspective
by Niki Tehranchi on Sat May 24, 2008 03:02 AM PDTIt's 3 am. I have been working all night on a brief for a Sri Lankan family who is about to be deported. (My day job of mom ended around 8pm. Then my part time job of wife ended at 12 midnight. My graveyard shift as an immigration attorney began at midnight and is still going, probably til dawn).
I take a break and go on the Internet. One of the first news headlines I catch glimpse of on my homepage states that the number of dead feared in the Chinese earthquake may be up to 80,000.
Then I log on to iranian.com and click on the former Iranian of the Day Sam Nazarian, which I nominated and I see someone having a shit fit over the fact that the man has been mentioned 2 years ago and therefore should not be mentioned EVER again.
Wow.
Perspective, people, perspective.
*sigh*

Oh and his company has been
by RepeatARTICLE (not verified) on Fri May 23, 2008 10:09 AM PDTOh and his company has been featured on the show from the very first time "heidi" stepped into SBE ENTERTAINMENT -- as my daughter has informed, yes, she watches the show religiously.
Also, Sam Nazarian was also featured in HBO's ENTOURAGE -- that would have been BIGGER and more SIGNIFICANT NEWS (since it hasn't been mentioned here before).
So then why not just post
by RepeatARTICLE (not verified) on Fri May 23, 2008 10:06 AM PDTSo then why not just post the clip, as opposed to making him Iranian of the Day AGAIN. Defeats the section's purpose.
I lied, I came back. But I swear, I'm done.
New
by Jahanshah Javid on Fri May 23, 2008 09:48 AM PDTSam Nazarian has been featured in a recent MTV show. That's not new and significant?
No you should continue to
by RepeatARTICLE (not verified) on Fri May 23, 2008 09:40 AM PDTNo you should continue to repeat things because that's what this site about right? Lame. When I come here I want to read about NEWS. Meaning NEW things.
So this is what a loyal reader of your site gets? How very nice and classy of you. I will be sure to come back.
And?
by Jahanshah Javid on Fri May 23, 2008 09:18 AM PDTSo what if Sam Nazarian was featured in Iranian.com before? Does that mean he should never be mentioned and recognized again?
Niki you must be new to
by RepeatARTICLE (not verified) on Fri May 23, 2008 09:01 AM PDTNiki you must be new to iranian.com. This is a REPEAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Sam Nazarian was mentioned TWO years ago on here:

by whynot (not verified) on Thu May 22, 2008 10:00 PM PDTDamn! Why don't we all just convert to Judaism? Looks like that's the life.

by Kurdish Warrior (not verified) on Thu May 22, 2008 03:38 AM PDTI actually met the guy in person and he is very cool.He is persian jewish and he owns alot of clubs in LA such as Hyde, Area, Wise Roy hotel and etc..., and Sahara hotel in Vegas. It's good to see Iranians are successful.
Well done Sam! I hope you do
by Ali - (not verified) on Wed May 21, 2008 05:06 PM PDTWell done Sam!
I hope you do better yet and that you will also remeber your hamvatans too.(at least your mom and dad's hamvatans... your roots)
I know of numerous Jewish folk who would love to go back to Iran (the old Iran)even though they are doing extremely well here in the US.
By the way people, I know of sons of very rich daddys who have lost their parents' money
and became almost penniless!
This man seems to know what he's
doing well!( watched the clip)
Here is my two cents...
by Nader on Wed May 21, 2008 04:05 PM PDTIf he considers himself an Iranian after all his success (regardless of how he got there. That's irrelevant), then in my book more power to him and I salute him for being so successful and else. However, if he shies away from his roots to save face because of current political climate and public image, then the hell with him. Who needs another Andre Aghassi?
We need people who are proud of the heritage regardless of these crappy times!
Look at Amir, Bijan, Maz, Omid Jalili and scores of others who are proud of who they are.
Is he one of us or not?
That's the question!
Good for him!
by Kaveh Nouraee on Wed May 21, 2008 02:44 PM PDTI, for one find the pettiness that some Iranians display towards hamvatan who have realized any measure of success to be unseemly.
This should serve to prove that we are capable of achieving anything if we want it. Now, if that spirit were encouraged back home, just imagine what kind of powerhouse Iran would be.

by farrad02 on Wed May 21, 2008 01:57 PM PDTIf my Daddy had started Qualcomm, I would be a super millionnaire, too!
Poole babahe khob age yek sadomesh ham be in agha resideh bashe, bzillionereh digeh!
You want to impress me, sell a LONG (traditional Iranian scarf/towel) for $45 to unsuspecting trendy Americans and then I am impressed!
Very impressive
