LOL, so many Iranians living
by Hashem (not verified) on Sat Sep 27, 2008 06:36 PM PDTLOL, so many Iranians living here in the US have psychological problems and are, out of frustration, bent on seeing the toppling of regime back home. The reason is that no over here likes them. This is because these Iranians are so self-absorbed that after living in the US for decades they still have strong foreign accents and are unable to interact with Americans.
I smell trouble!
by Arjang1212 (not verified) on Mon Aug 18, 2008 11:57 AM PDTOK then, someone should tell him about this. This went from being funny to being sick. We all make mistakes, but we don't like our mistakes to be displayed in front of the whole world, without our consent. I understand this website has a policy to ridicule Iranian men as much as possible, but this one has gone too far.
It is real. I have dailed the phone.
by Shahrokh T (not verified) on Mon Aug 18, 2008 09:46 AM PDTHis name is really David. Call the number and you hear the same voice. It seems like David does not know that his voice is taped!!!
why is this funny?
by Anonymous here (not verified) on Mon Aug 18, 2008 09:39 AM PDTIf it's true, why is it funny to laugh at someone elses pain? whether he's Iranian or not, fob or not. I don't find this amusing, hearing anger and frustration is never funny. both the guy and the girl could use some communication skills as well as a whole lotta maturity!girls: don't like him, don't give him your number. guys:she doesn't return ur call, STOP calling her.
It is not real
by Arjang1212 (not verified) on Mon Aug 18, 2008 12:21 AM PDTYou can find out if it is real or not by trying his phone number, call him and see if any one answers?
This is as real as it gets.
by M3LOVER (not verified) on Fri Aug 15, 2008 06:50 PM PDTThis is as real as it gets. It's easy to know why. Listen to the words.
Garbage: It is a translation of the word Satleh Ashghal. Exactly the type of word used in Iran and then translated to American. If it was fake, the person would had said Trashcan or trash which a fob wouldn't know.
Decent Human Being: Adamizad, or adam e salem. You hear that all the time in Farsi convos, but when translated to English it doesn't really make much sense.
This guy straight up came from the Airport and had it on it's agenda to probably get laid by a blond. Sadly, I don't see him getting any anytime soon.
im an iranian man
by LA (not verified) on Thu Aug 14, 2008 04:12 PM PDTI think this is the voice of a same young skinny man who has a clip in youtube imitating his iranian father..i'm 99% sure is the same guy,,anywho, regardless of litigimacy of this clip, the fact is that most if not all iranian man are way too emotional and possessive. Iranian man has so much ego that they can not take rejection so well..we iranian men have to learn to be more respectful of female emotions and desire.
cheers
BTW: NEXT TIME WHEN YOU GUYS GOING TO BAR PLEASE STOP WEARING 18K GOLD CHAIN ON YOUR HAIRY CHEST AND STOP SAYING TO THE BARTENDER..
HEY BRO HOOK IT UP...
sooooooooooooooooooo FAKE
by Daria (not verified) on Thu Aug 14, 2008 03:54 PM PDTOhmidays that was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAKE you could obviously hear the American accent in some of the words - sorry mate your Persian accent is not good enough!

They are not FOB's at all
by Hamidi (not verified) on Thu Aug 14, 2008 12:57 PM PDTI know people who have been in LA for 30 years and sound worst that this. These people are not FOBs, the sentence construction, slang and profanity is very familiar.
Great observation and conclusion Monda
by IRANdokht on Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:50 AM PDTI also believe the problem is cultural incompatibility.
We have learned to make eye contact, smile, keep a friendly and open body language and speak using positive words, even in the professional environment. In different cultures, those same "proper techniques" are seen in a different light. That's why sometimes to look at someone in the eye and smile while having a professional conversation is not taken the same way.
I think some of the people who are living in this culture are a little less flexible and have not caught on after over 20 sometimes 30 years... That was the case I experienced personally.
Of course when you add that to the some Iranian men's temper, possessiveness, over-sized ego and limited vocabulary, then you get these messages heard in this clip.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience. I am so glad my job does not put me in contact with people :0)
IRANdokht
! :o))
by Monda on Thu Aug 14, 2008 10:46 AM PDTTRUST ME, IT CAN HAPPEN! I was an Ashley myself once, without that exact same ending of course (maybe being really ROB he hadn't expanded his vocab to c or f words yet).
I met this engineer who had just arrived from Iran, a superior student in his field, very sharp and collected on the outside. As my job went back in those days, I tried helping him apply for his desired postions. After 2 meetings in my office, we met once in a coffee shop to work on his resume and attitude in his upcoming job interview. I did ask him to let me know how it went, what he got out of that particular experience, what needs modification, etc. So per my suggestion he called my office and I praised him for the positive steps he took in that job interview. Then he continued calling (several times a day) and finally introducing himself as my cousin from Iran in attempt to get rid of him the poor overworked receptionist gave him my home phone#. I got home that night and there were so many calls from him waiting for me, each massage getting progressively more personal with the last couple of messages totally inappropriate and hostile, to the effect of me having abused him emotionally by not answering his calls at the office (while I was not even there at times or in with other clients, meetings, etc) and pleas to get together again (not at coffee shop but at his place! in 2 occasions that night!). My first reaction was to call him back to explain to him how my services worked, so I did. He didn't pick up his phone so I left a professional sounding message. Then I got the string of irritated messages from him within the next days outraged about my "impersonal" form of communication (leaving message on his answering machine "az sar baaz koni").
So yes this is real! And by the way I heard a similar story about this female Brazilian engineer treating my American male colleague in the same manner, or this Turkish man at Harvard asking my cousin for a date after their first project meeting, ending up with a similar form of communicating his pain about being ignored by her.
So this goes as evidence that academic achievements, nationality or gender have nothing to do with Emotional Intelligence.
Hearing this clip Now I can laugh about it.
Not funny @ all !

by IRANdokht on Thu Aug 14, 2008 07:08 AM PDTI don't think it's fake... maybe they reenacted to make the accent funny(er), but it's not as far-fetched as some may want to believe.

question
by Anonymous77 (not verified) on Thu Aug 14, 2008 12:04 AM PDTWhy did it say "White girl" at the beginning?
What colour are Iranians?
Typical Iranian
by Erani (not verified) on Wed Aug 13, 2008 11:36 PM PDTIf a woman say no to an Iranian man he takes it so persnal and he takes it as an insult. This is why Iranian girls do not want to date Iranian men if this tape is real and Ashley is an Iranian girl.
Nice
