Ali bi gham's second question is right on
by Milan (not verified) on Sun Apr 12, 2009 08:01 PM PDTSadness is a part of Persian identity, especially the "Real" Persians, who look at you chap chap if god forbid you play a Western tune in your car or at home. That's why saying to someone, "Baba, Toe ham khoshee" is considered an insult. The songs we kids called "Shaad" my parents would call "Jelf." God bless them, to this day, in their 70's, any prolonged period of happiness makes them panic and thirsty for their daily shot of sadness.
:(
by joe shmoe (ali bi gham) (not verified) on Sun Apr 12, 2009 04:31 PM PDTtwo questions:
why was the girl bi hejab (no veil)?
why is the subject of love correlated with un-happiness and pain in iranian art? i think they are trying to discourage young people from loving.
the video was nicely done, but the handling of the topic was one-sided.
very nice and also sad!
