Bulgarian Sirni Zagovezni
by Peykan on Mon Mar 16, 2009 04:02 PM PDTIt may sound strange to you but Chahar-Shanbeh-Soori is similar to a Bulgarian Christian Orthodox ritual, called "Sirni Zagovezni" which is also celebrated about the same time of the year by jumping over bonfires to chase away the evil spirits.
