" 3iranian-sopranos.com The “Three Iranian Sopranos” is  the new project
of the  Persian opera singers Nasrin Asgari, Shirin Asgari and Kamelia
Dara. They were all born in Iran, where they grew up and spent a lot of time
together as friends and singers. Due to the political situation in Iran, it
was not possible for them to get a good education as opera singers and to
have the possibility to perform as soloists.  The three young ladies
decided to go to Austria to study at the University of Music in
Vienna and Graz. Nasrin and Shirin Asgari finished their studies obtaining Masters of Art in May 2008. Kamelia Dara finished the first part of
her studies with Bachelor of Art. While studying, they decided to create
the ensemble “The Three Iranian Sopranos”. The repertoire of the
ensemble extends from the big arias of the opera to the famous songs of
operetta and musical genre including the Persian folksong repertoire. These
three charming and great singers, with their voices and their
performances create a wonderful bow from the Orient to the Occident."
