Bavafa jan, somehow I think if she sang a song in Persian

by Arj on Thu Aug 11, 2011 07:11 PM PDTWhat a fresh voice and a real change from the usual Persian/English songs sung to shish-o-hasht and techno beats. Not to mention the language she sings in (Italian) is the closest to Persian among the Eurpean tongues in terms of poeticity!
heard of Brazilian Blowout?

YAWN!!!!
by afshin on Thu Aug 11, 2011 04:47 PM PDTWho's the target audience? Iranians pretending to be Italian? Or Albanians wishing they were Italian? Sad part is, she doesn't even speak Italian. She's singing in Italian like she's speaking in Farsi. Doesn't sound right. It's much like Leila Forouhar singing in English. Simply put, CHEESEY!

Nice Sound Editing
by Gharibe Ashena on Thu Aug 11, 2011 02:38 PM PDTHowever, her singing still has farsi accent, so thick, that I couldn't cut it with my chef's knife!! Ghormeh Sabzi, you always have interesting posts. Thanks.

Yawn. Not another Iranian
by Simorgh5555 on Thu Aug 11, 2011 11:15 AM PDTYawn. Not another Iranian trying to pass themselves off as being Spanish. During the ninties you couldn't find a single Iranian disco or concert where the obligatory Latin inspired music played. Iranian renditions of 'bomboleo' and songs from the Gypsy King are so dull and tiresome. When will you learn that no matter how hard you try to reinvent yourself as your European counterparts you will NEVER be alike. Be Iranian and proud. And that doesn't mean embracing the alien Arab Islamic culture either. Celebrate Iran.
