The other side to that being...
by Parham on Thu Sep 15, 2011 04:22 AM PDT... there are many people who sound like each other. That's no reason to dismiss them. Plus, this one is not a take-off of Coldplay, just that the singer's voice resembles that of Chris Martin; otherwise the music is quite originally arranged at times.
The cover of "The Promise" is actually very well done, better than a lot of covers one hears from western artists.
So I don't think the "imitation"critic applies that much here. There is a certain style in which the singer sings that has become more or less common, but then why would there be a "singing style" at all if everyone would have his/her own.
This is the cultural problem
by aynak on Thu Sep 15, 2011 01:36 AM PDTOriginality does not even have an equivalent in Persian. It sounds just like Cold Play, both the music, the song, even the fregin content. That's why it probably won't fly in world market. Sorry to be spoiler.
Here's my lyric on this one:
"And they thought me how to read,
and they told me how to think,
but they could not make me be, who I am .....
No I aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam
No original"
I KNEW

Now he has got to find the proper channels to market himself. The best of luck to him!
