... there are many people who sound like each other. That's no reason to dismiss them. Plus, this one is not a take-off of Coldplay, just that the singer's voice resembles that of Chris Martin; otherwise the music is quite originally arranged at times.
The cover of "The Promise" is actually very well done, better than a lot of covers one hears from western artists.
So I don't think the "imitation"critic applies that much here. There is a certain style in which the singer sings that has become more or less common, but then why would there be a "singing style" at all if everyone would have his/her own.

 Originality does not even have an equivalent in Persian.   It sounds just like Cold Play, both the music, the song, even the fregin content.  That's why it probably won't fly in world market.   Sorry to be spoiler.
