POETRY

If AND and OR

Join or give the choice of a pair,

If NOT and NOR

NEGATE or dismiss for a repair,

If self-doubt AND anxiety paired, OR,

Insomnia OR pain stole your night away,

AND, dreams were replaced with dragons and

Monsters in their place,

Linger in the pain,

Trust your moment alone,

Embrace the teardrop,

Slowly lick the wound,

Then,

FABRICATE new tools of logic blessed,

With the fire that has pounded your pain

Onto a steel lighting up the road ahead,

Eyes from within systematically regulating

The actions from without -

AND, OR, NOR and NEGATE –

Just to charm a dragon so she can convert

To a new faith becoming an angel

Showing up in your nightly dream.
