You are one of those individuals who can only see in black and white. To you Shah must be one hundred percent evil. He cannot be 50/50. He cannot possibly have done ANY good for his country. He must have done only evil.

Unfortunately, this is a common behavior among us Iranians, be it a Shahollahi who sees Mossadegh as pure evil, or a Jebheye Melli supporter who sees Tudeh as 100 percent evil.

As in all other such people, this black and white behavior is driven and controlled by your feelings of hate, which must remain satisfied. Looking at things objectively, will cause you to say, "shah did good here or there". This is unacceptable to your mind. It would feel as "respecting or appreciating the shah for this or that". but that is forbidden by your mind. It must be a full all consuming hatred towards him, or nothing else.

Therefore, your views are not driven by facts, but by your need to feed your feelings of hate. It is a need driven by accumulated anger, dislikes, "nefrat" and perhaps supported by the same feelings you had been observing in your circles in your childhood. So it is well entrenched in your mind.

And you are not the kind of man who is strong enough to rise above it and take charge of his own mind. And as long as you don't, you will remain the small and petty man that you currently are, mindlessly driven by hate and other strong feelings.

I know it Ahyab. I know it because when I observe your behavior, I see many parts of my own past self, with all the details left intact, with the difference that I brought my feelings of mindless hate into submission and detaching myself from them, while you are sitll remaining attached and a slave to your angers and hatreds.

No matter, how you look at it, no matter how many stones you turn to find excuses, no matter how diligently you try to prove otherwise, there is only one bottom line judgement about the Shah's regime: It had many flaws, but it had many good things too. You will never be able to change this simple truth. But your mind, enslaved by hate and anger, demands you to keep trying.

The challenge for you should not be to turn yet another stone to show that Shah was a rapist too. Rather the challenge for you is to rise above these petty signs of smallness and grow into higher levels that you might otherwise miss experiencing for the rest of your life.
