Thank you, Omid, for your brilliant creation! I am hoping in my life time the mandatory hejab law can be lifted! "Hejab" is like a speed bump for Iran, preventing the country from moving forward! I am fed up with the
"inconvenience" of mandatory hejab: Iranian's girls' soccer team got disqualified because of hejab......Nasrin Sotoudeh received 5 year sentence for not wearing hejab......Farahani got scolded for not wearing hejab.....Shirin Ebadi got criticized for not wearing hejab at Nobel Prize presentation ceremony...

We really have important things to worry about!

great cartoon omid. the woman may have been actually been tortured before her transport to the hospital.  it's a islamic catch 22.  and the link you provided (ahmadinejad's appointment) is also very interesting.  why would the top military commander be recommending the appointment of someone to the "women's cultural cultural and social council?"  why would the president heed to the recommendation?  no other qualifications were mentioned in the letter of appointment other than the sarlashkar's recommendation. 

maybe the next president can "reform" the political appointment process. god willing.

Oh dear OH...Thank you for asking! You must be a psychic!! But what can I say? Yes, I had the misfortune of having a snake crossing my path... I think I got poisoned for a while. Really badly, almost as if I died a bit. Now I am trying to come back to life...My book is waiting for me. I just need to find it. Meanwhile, I try to be less "sweet", but it is hard.

Long time no see.  How is your book coming along?  Did you have any weird guests at your house?  I mean with Halloween and zombies being out.  How is your blood sugar?  I hope everything is fine.  Sometimes I worry about you, being so nice and all.
