Whatever Happened to "via Chris Davis?"

Sometime ago, a seemingly enthusiastic anti-“neocon” warrior by the name of “Chris Davis” appeared on the pages of Iranian.com.  While he claimed to be a new member, he showed an astonishing familiarity with long term members of this site.  He also claimed that he was a blogger and a journalist and he immediately uploaded a slanderous hate blog in which he accused two members of IC, namely Fred and Darius Kadivar to be neocon agents, etc. (you know, the usual stuff).  He also proclaimed that he knew which New York PR firm Fred worked for and that he was going to expose him and others—whose true identities he had identified on Iranian.com in the miraculously short period of time that he had registered—in an upcoming article. 

Immediately after the hate blog was posted, our own collection of the mentally disturbed, non-Iranians, communists turned Islamists, IRI lovers, slanderers and other assortment of nuts and sluts jumped on his bandwagon and declared him to be their hero.  I guess in that case, no proof was required as to identity of this creature.  The fact that he attacked two people that they didn’t like and called them “neocons” (was there also a “Zionist” allegation?  I forgot) was good enough.  One of them even left his email address for the blogger--which he immediately became so friendly with that he called him by his [fictitious] first name of “Chris”—so that “Chris” could email him in order for him to provide "Chris" with pointers on how to “go after” these devilish “neocons.” LOL!  LOL indeed!!!

Well, it’s been more than three months since “Chris Davis” wrote his God-like revelations, and we are still waiting—with bated breath—for his grand article and for his disclosure of Fred’s true identity and the identity of the New York PR firm which he works for.  More importantly, we are still waiting to find out who this great “via Chris Davis” is.  He claims to be a known blogger, but there is no record of him anywhere in the cyberworld.  Plus, why would a famous blogger write under an anonymous identity on Iranian.com? 

I’m not saying that “via Chris Davis” is another username for a regular IC user who wanted to settle scores with a couple of old adversaries under a new username---well, I am actually saying that.  But the very fact that some people so quickly jumped on that slander bandwagon should go to show their character and their M.O. on this site.  But, perhaps I’m wrong.  Perhaps there is a famous blogger named “Chris Davis” who comes on Iranian.com to single out a couple of users.  Perhaps he would someday also show us his exposé on Fred, Kadivar and neocons.  Perhaps there is also a pink elephant running around the forests of India. We will never know….

a lot of IRI tactics, I just think that she was a regular user who came in under a different username to settle a few scores with her arch rivals.  I think I know who she is.  I give you a hint.  Think of "The Simpsons."

He (the blogger) had all the signs of IRI in him.

1- Resort to deceive and lie to deal with opposition

2- His message/method of [character] assassination, when first line of defense to deal with opposition fails

3- Incompetence in the way they carry things out and lack of thoughts behind their action

4- Hide and switch (when they fail, just put another mask and present yourself with a different Paaloon)

I guess we get the picture or shall I go on :)

How many others with these attributes do we see here on IC?

chris davis is an accomplished internet philosopher, published online journalist, famous blogger and a quixotic mystic.  btw, is he also a niac member?  and i agree with you onlyiran that those who showed support for him truly showed their color.  i, too, am looking forward to his next piece.

Thank you for your kind words.  I too believe that you are a true humanitarian and someone who truly cares for Iran.  I really believe that unlike many on this site, your support for the Palestinians and Iranians alike is genuine and from the heart.  We do not have to agree on every point, but we can certainly be respectful to each other.

I absolutely did not mean to say that everyone who commented on that blog was included in my coarse description.  My accusations were only targeted at those who supported that hate blog and who cheered this character on, including the person who went as far as giving out his email address to be of service to this fake creature.

I remember distinctively that blog and I do wonder under which new user name he is babbling around on IC. but I also remember many of us who perhaps some call "mentally disturbed, non-Iranians, communists turned Islamists, IRI lovers" etc, came to the defense of said members and aimed to expose the "Chris Davis" character.

I know I am in a not so indirect way taking a jab at you and it is not meant in any shape or form to compare you with the "Chris" character. Not even in the same planet however it is only meant (kindly) that we all need to be a bit cautious in our accusations.

P.S. Despite our earlier disagreements (perhaps a year or so ago) I have come to believe you are one of the people that really have the best of Iran and Iranians at heart and "onlyiran" is a very fitting user ID. But that's only after taking time and getting to know you thru your posts.

 different ID's, which is very funny, because the person who was passing her his email is notorious for accusing everyone that he doesn't like of being a multiple ID user.  Oh, he also "hates slander."

Like I said in the blog, I truly believe that this "Chris Davis" character was (is) a regular IC user who showed up under this new username to settle a few scores.  In fact, given the writing style, the targets of her (yes, her) attack and the subject matter, I have a pretty good idea who it is.  But I will keep that to myself, because unlike her and her cheerleaders, I am not a slanderer (in case I'm wrong, that is).

and that you will reveal it later is an old tactic (parvandeh-saazi) that Iranians are very familiar with and will not stand for it, as you see from the volume of comments on this site and elsewhere.  So, if you have the proof(s), we would appreciate if you reveal it/them now.  Maybe you should have waited until you wrote the article first.
