New Miss World from Ireland, Rosanna Davison (C) waves along with first runners-up Miss Canada Nazanin Afshin-Jam (L) and second runners-up Miss China Qi Guan (R) in Sanya, on southern China's tropical island of Hainan. "Nazanin is an ideal example of a Canadian," Jimmy Steele, a vice-president of Miss World Canada, said from Toronto. "She is articulate, educated, well-rounded and a fantastic individual." Afshin-Jam, who was born in Iran and now lives in Vancouver, holds degrees from the University of British Columbia in international relations and political science.
