PART 2

What Is the Definition of House-Nigger?
I'm a big Bill Clinton fan, but!
by farrad02 on Mon Oct 01, 2007 09:24 AM PDTI have no complaints about Hillary's fundraising. It is a necessary evil and a part and parcel of the electioneering game in the United States. Big money is a requirement for high office in the US and if you don't play this game well, you won't get elected. So, I won't fault Hillary for any of the fundraising she has done. You need to be agreessive and you could cross into the gray areas once in a while, to raise that kind of cash! As long as you don't chase dirty money intentionally, it is okay in my view! But am I a proponent of the whole process, No!
As for voting for Hillary....let me first say that I'm her husband's biggest fan. I say this because Bill Clinton is the real strategist and brain behind Hillary's campaign machine! I think Bill Clinton is one of the sharpest political minds of the United States in contemporary era.
And I do see many positives in getting Hillary elected.
Besides the obvious, which is breaking the gender barrier for the office of the President, I think giving Bill Clinton a second shot at fixing some of the things he couldn't fix the first time around, would be great. I know she will be the president, but everyone knows Bill Clinton will be the most influential advisor for a President Hillary and most likely will be Hillary's Carl Rowe! You always hear ex-presidents (like Jimmy Carter) express their real views after they are freed from the bounds of that office and reveal how they hated some of their limitations. So, if Billary Clinton get another shot at the top job, who knows? They may finally fix some of the things that many presidents have not been able to, just because they have felt and experienced the post-white-house regrets.
But as of now, I just can't get myself to trust Hillary! She looks, acts and talks too calculating for my comfort! She always comes across as phoney and insincere (at least my impression).
Am I alone in feeling this way?
So much anger for a dollar?!

Re: Please no insult & personal attack! Other Iranian traits!
by Ali (not verified) on Sun Sep 30, 2007 06:50 PM PDTFrankly I don't call these people are traitor or anti-Iran. But one needs to think twice to donate the money in fundraising. I don't live in West Coast but watching and reading about you folks; I want to know what you have to impact political systems despite the huge amount of money you folks have and can spend. The examples are the Rep Lantos -D recently set of the base for future attack on Iran. And you beloved Governor has decided to ban all investment in Iran. Well you might say that's great I hate Ayatollah (you know damn well none of these actions impact any Ayatollah but your family and friends back home). How about all those Iranians who came in SF and LA airports for meeting (SUTA) and ended up in jail. The money you spent for Democrats or Republications didn't help to take them out of jail.
Last advice: we tried it in NY/NJ, colleted money for Senator John Kerry, the same Mrs Clinton, Senator Kyle, Senator Spector, you name it all came and loved Kabob, took the money, couple of times invite few people and END OF STORY.
My two cents: If you just going to see Clinton and take a picture with her do so by all means (send a copy to Mom and Dad or show it to your son or daughter in law – for POZ!) but if you folks thinking you are going to get something out of it for Iran or job in Washington, then you are dreaming. After all you are IRANIAN, NOT WHITE and can’t be trusted (don’t think, oh we are not Arabs…we are all in the same boat)
Good night!
Please no insult & personal attack! Other Iranian traits!
by Traveler (not verified) on Sun Sep 30, 2007 02:47 PM PDTPlease no insult & personal attack! Other Iranian traits!
I am saddened to see that several comments have a lot of insults and personal attacks. Though every one has rights to express his or her opinions, the expressions and critiques, I think, should not go beyond this piece of writing and its contents, nor attack the dignity of the writer. I guess I should add a few other Iranian traits to the list that I already wrote:
6. Attacking the writer and her personal life, rather than tackling the issues presented
7. Avoiding dialogue
8. Thinking in absolute terms
9….
10…......Etc.

Go Goftee
by Manoucher (not verified) on Sat Sep 29, 2007 08:45 AM PDTMahvash;
From the insults that have been thown at you, I read how much courage is required to express an opinion against the flow of current; especially if it hurts some interests. I admire you and your opinion. Gol Goftee. How come these herds of liberals, democrats, intellectuals and ..., who are experts in smear campaign, do not possess a drop of patience to reasonably criticize you or give you a reasonable response? Democracy is good only if it supports certain interests? If it works otherwise, then they have the full right to use coups, bombardmants, blocades, sanctions, genocide, wars, deceit, and their mouths and pens to bring it down? Who has defined this democracy?
Dear Mahvash
by Foad on Sat Sep 29, 2007 08:43 AM PDTI kind of understand what you are trying to say but unfortunately it lacks realism. I agree that American system of election is not the best but on the other hand which country has the best election procedure? In politic as in life we have to deal to whatever is dealt to us unless you advocate a perpetual revolution. As for me, I never used to vote for either party saying just one is the same as the other. In 2000 election I voted for Ralph Nader and even now I regret my vote after seeing what has happened in the last six years.Things not simply gone from bad to worst, they are gone from bad to the bottom of the barrel. For next election I don't think Senator Clinton is a Utopian candidate but in small degree better than the Republican warmonger candidates. At the beginning of current campaign I was really pulling for Obama but now it seems he has become like the others. When literally the same advisers are advising different candidate the outcome remains the same no matter who is running. For one thing it has become a ritual that they all have to bow their collective heads to Zionists and their powerful lobbies as their first step toward primary. Having said all that, I still hope Democratic candidates are better than the other group. And this time they may have actual chance of winning. My only fear is that elected Democratic candidate turns out to be another LBJ. I hope NOT.
Mahvash: Confused, angry, and uninformed writer
by Traveler (not verified) on Sat Sep 29, 2007 01:23 AM PDTMahvash: Confused, angry, and uninformed writer
This note is a very good illustration of several points that are shared by most Iranians by traits:
1. Ignorant about the subjects, but they still open their mouths and speak as though they are expert …
2. Just criticize without proposing any solutions
3. They are just talk---no action.
4. Expect others (America) to protect her (Iranian) interests, and disregard their (American) own interest.
5. Everything has something behind it---there is a conspiracy no matter what.
6. Cannot see others do something, especially if they are successful….
Mahvash kanoom, when your note shows your confusion, anger and lack of information, no one can take it seriously, especially when it has all the above characteristics, even though it might contain a few sporadic valid points.

by NoNokar (not verified) on Fri Sep 28, 2007 04:10 PM PDTLady,
.
I agree with you but you are naively under the impression that what Sa'adi and his likes say sums up our culture. Unfortunately, we have a handful of Sa'adis but boatload and boatload of Mozdoor and Nokar-e-Ajnabi and Khodforush who would sell their soul to the devil for a few bucks let alone their country, culture and integrity. The $75M Club is a prime example of that. A good majority (not all) of the "Persians" in Tehrangeles is another good example.
.
I admire your ideals but I think you will be very disappointed in reality of the situation.
