Why English?

by Pejman7 (not verified) on

The video is in Persian but the information at the end of that are in English! Isn't it strange?

as samad says "tanbalaaye bisavad"

by Neda (not verified) on

way to go Behzad, I just want to add something to your comment, sayyad played an important role as a producer which made possible for artists like Sohrab shahid sales, hatami.... to work. there is sooooooo much more to say about this man He is a great artist and it's so disappointing to see people with so little knowledge think they have a right to comment. please do a bit of research first and don't base your entire judgment on a play you have saw ten years ago which you probably didn't understand!

Yo No Name!

by Behzad Raffii (not verified) on

You better hide behind your false sense of annonymity! You're only showing your own ignorance about this great man's career. His Samad character has lived on for over 40 years and that's great! He's made a name for himself. (more than you can say I bet. What have you ever done that anyone's ever talked about? Nothing. You're not even confident enough to have a name.) But on top of Samad, he has an amazing range as an actor. His role in Daie Jan Napoleon was stellar by any standards not to mention his theater performances over the years. You should get out more, see more, and ultimately learn more so you can develop a little respect for people who actually get up and do something, and in doing so subject themselves to this kind of scrutiny. You are a useless coward!

(And by the way, you can be tracked down through your IP address--so you're not that safe!)

Samad is a bore!

by PArviz (not verified) on

I have seen an earlier version of this a few years back (on video) and I must say that as long as Hadi khorsandi was alone on the stage it was very funny and at times hilarious but as soon as Samad walked in, the whole thing was ruined.

When I was a kid (many years ago), I found Samad funny and I still might (I have not seen any Samad films for a good 20 years) but for some reason I could not bring myself to watch that performance more than 10 minutes and I stopped watching after that.

I have nothing against Sayyad, I am sure he has been one of the most influential artist in Iranian cinema, well I still remember TV-shows 30-40 years ago and having nothing but fond memories of him. I am no theater critic and what I say is based on personal experience (which is actually what counts, I don't care if a film critic thinks a movie I saw and enjoyed is crap. What matters is what I think).

But the last performance was ruined by the Samad character and if this is anything similar I would avoid it at all costs. Khorsandi on his own rocks.

Parviz Sayad, as far as I am

by noname (not verified) on

Parviz Sayad, as far as I am concern, is THE most boring, least talented person that I know in theater. He is like a sales man that can repeat the same character over and over for 40 years and had no new ideas. It is an insult to any artist to call him an artist.
