by Bibinaz Monfaredzadeh on Wed Jan 06, 2010 01:29 AM PSTThe lyrics are owned by Shahyar he is a wonderful poet and good family friend. He has amazing poetry written over the years. The music is owned by myself and my family. My father wrote it. There are no copywright laws in Iran. I would have to go to court here to gain rights. Either way this work is really beautiful. What's important is people appreciate our historic music and awesome pop culture b4 the 80's and hold on to what was happening. It's music that's a part of westernized Iran and where it was going with freedom of speech and creative output. Simply beautiful.

TRIBUTE!
by Majid on Fri Mar 21, 2008 05:13 PM PDTA beautiful work ( act, song, ...etc), no matter how many different ways or how many times coppied, performed, repeated or renditioned, it's just that...BEAUTIFUL! as long as some originality is maintained, It's called "tribute to..."
And you, Hatef, did a great job.
I wish some decent Iranian singers do a "tribute to Farhaad".
Like Ebi did with Googoosh's songs, like (SOME) singers do with Banaan's, etc...
Thanks Hatef
P.S. will you do or already did Farhaad's "AAVAAR" as well ?
well done

Copy right does matter.

What is this obsession with
by Jalinus (not verified) on Thu Mar 20, 2008 07:11 PM PDTWhat is this obsession with our singers to act at the same time !! This reminds me of Googoosh dressing up as Charlie Chaplin and actiong like an idiot. A fantastic song all together ruined by over the top acting of Hatef. The song's new rendition is not bad and the video clip is well done. They have done a good job recreating the signs and streets of Tehran. Now I would like to invite my compatriots to cuss me out. Let the games of democracy begin.....
