Now in week 30 of my diet, my fat cells are jumping at opportunities to regrow. V is camera shy and I buy the boys "bone and arrows".

by American Wife (not verified) on Tue Jul 01, 2008 09:56 AM PDTThis was great... just the best! I can't think of anything I enjoy more than listening to parents talking about the everyday antics of their kids. I'm new to Siamack but for sure I'm going to go back and check out his blogs.
I agree with you Natalia... he needs to write a book...lol.
Nazy, my son was totally into the Ninja Turtles too. I did "turtles" birthday cakes for three years straight... the movies (which I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed a little myself)...pj's...swords.
Oh my, the video, the memories, I'm getting a little weepy. I need to call my baby.
Remembering raising boys...
by Nazy Kaviani on Fri Jun 27, 2008 06:43 AM PDTLovely piece, Siamack Jan. Poignant reflections on raising boys! Yes, indeed, they grow up really fast, and I'm glad you are cherishing all the moments of their childhood now. I hope Kourosh and V are over their eye infections. In case they aren't yet, I second IRANdokht's recommendation about the tea-soak treatment, except my suggestion is easier--just use an original teabag, leaving it on the eye for a few minutes and using it to wipe the eye.
Loved the mispronounciation on Ninja Turtles! Are Ninja Turtles back?! They were all the rage with my older son some 20 years ago! Heeh, somehow I feel less old to know that they're back again! My best to V.
Always Fun to Watch
by Zan Amrikai (not verified) on Thu Jun 26, 2008 01:07 PM PDTI've been watching you for some time now and I always enjoy your family stories. Thanks for sharing your life with your cyber family and friends! Love the story about the boys and their language.
Do they have a Belgian Accent ? ;0)
by Darius Kadivar on Thu Jun 26, 2008 09:37 AM PDTHi Siamak,
Cute comments on your sweet kids. Get them to read Tintin in French now. Thats How I got into learning French before I found out Tintin was actually Belgian.
Cheers and hope to see you in Paris some time soon,
D
You are an inspiration to me
by Monda on Thu Jun 26, 2008 08:44 AM PDTI have been watching your videos way before your dieting started. I used to enjoy them specifically for the love you feel around your family. Your boys are adorable, your V is lovely. Today was a different story though; while watching your clip suddenly I had tears in my eyes! (what the hell?!) It was your tone about your family that I felt touched by and the way you acknowledge every single significant incident in your lives. (V's eye problem, boys's French accent, bonedanarrow...)
BTW you do look great, congrats on your fantastic will power! And I am shocked about your boys being 4-1/2 and in 3rd grade?! They are really advanced then, yet so well socialized. Best to all of you. Looking forward to watching your next show.
cool
by IRANdokht on Thu Jun 26, 2008 01:05 AM PDTlooking good my friend, keep it up! It's nice to see the humor was not attached to those fat cells that you lost :0)
As for Kourosh's eye: try dabbing a cotton ball in luke warm tea (black tea, not the herbal kind) and rubbing it on his eye at least before bedtime and when he wakes up in the morning. It's safe to do it more often of course. It's the best cure for that eye gook.
Good luck and thanks for the update

by Hawes380 (not verified) on Wed Jun 25, 2008 02:37 PM PDTFor those of you who are just getting to know Siamak this might not be a big deal, but I have been a big fan of his blogs and articles since 2001 and I feel that I know the guy already. He has managed to loose a lot of wight and that's without suffering himself I must add.
Siamak, you are showing great results mate. Will power ain't coming cheap. and you got plenty.
Looking good, say hi to the family.

by Hajminator on Wed Jun 25, 2008 12:56 PM PDTSia, after your 30 days diet you look more like a spanish conquestador with a british accent than a guy coming from Mash-had. Keep on doing well and bon courage!
Very good thing that your sons speak french, ça va leur servir plus tard dans la vie, tu verras ;)

by Good Job! (not verified) on Wed Jun 25, 2008 12:55 PM PDTSiamak Jan,
Congrats on your great achievment and weight loss! Just weight when Siamak is 18 he will straddle your face, with his ass facing you, lower is ass towards your face and as you are waking up, he will let a nasty fart into your nostrils.
Hope you didn't go to Iranian restaurant and you didn't feed him kabob koobideh the night before.
THANKS FOR SHARING . . . .
by Zumba is it! (not verified) on Wed Jun 25, 2008 12:48 PM PDTThanks for sharing Simack jaan; and btw, you are never boring. There is an element of honesty & genuine interest to connect that comes through all your presentations.
AND . . . you DO look great; keep up the hard work no matter what. So what if you have a treat here or there, you have made a commitment to be healthy, and looking good & vibrant is one of its results.
We are proud of you and are waiting for those couple of stones to fall off you . . . . You 'll be a definite fox by then. :-))
