yum...

by kalgono (not verified) on

The food looks GOOD!
I change recipes around myself a lot to my own taste, and sometinmes people tell me it's even better than the original one!
But... the original one is the one you and your taste buds know better, therefore we always go back to making the original--especially in mehmoonis's!

we have a lot in common with Indians in general

by Anonym7 (not verified) on

Because of what I do for living (Eng.), I have worked with Indians more than any other people. I have realized that we have many things in common not only with Persis but also other ethnic groups in India, from words to food and customs to how people get things done!
Hopefully if U.S stops sabotaging/interfering in Iran India relation, the bounds between the two countries will become even stronger.

> stop fake pride

by Another Lost Iranian in Paris (not verified) on

Today, Indian Parsis have nothing in common with iranians. If you guys take pride in the their succesful position, this simply doesn't make sense. I have met several Parsis , and except their physical apperance, I didnt feel like I had any similarities with them.

Kousosh is dead, Xerxes is dead. Wake up people. Some of speak like they were all still in charge. Our glorious past is not going to help us build our future, but our fucked present will, unfortunately.

Iranian Diaspora

Parsi's are among the top class of Indian society. Ratan Tata is a Parsi whom India is proude of. Tata gropu is a business conglomerate who was established by Jamshid Ji Noshirvan Ji Tata:

They are very nice people and love Iran so much. Hope one day they all can come back to their motherland. They scaped Iran few centuries ago when Arabs were forcing them to convert to Islam.

i have definitely seen zereshk/berry polo with kabab, i have even seen people here in the usa use zereshk and dried cranberries.... with joojeh kabab.... they serve it in many persian restaurants. maybe not with garamasla spice, but definitely with kabab. i like places that make a dish their own.

that khoresh gheymeh looked really good, and I love that zereshk-javaher polo at the beginning. Yum! (except for the fish dishes, I'd stay away from those)

Parsi

One of the great thing about going to Parsi owned restaurants in India is that when you walk in you are bound to see a potrait of Hazrat-e-Zartosht.

The Zereshk polo looked awful!

by mehrnaz (not verified) on

as well as who eats zereshk polo with garamasala and kebab!! The onion garnish looked HUGE and unappetising. Not a good improvisation. Not so authentic either if that was the concern of some 'pure' bloods;)

ps - Have they forgotten the word "zereshk"? May be they have not remained very "Persian" after all to the disappointment of some blue bloods here! Oh dear, oh dear !!!

Parsis

by Anonymous-iran (not verified) on

Parsis are highly respected people in India. Good that they left Iran and saved themselves and their religion from Arab-turk-Mongol religion (Islam).
