This is NOT bandari dance but belly-dance!
by Setareh M. (not verified) on Wed Feb 18, 2009 09:30 AM PSTNo doubt this lady is a good belly-dancer but this is not the traditional bandari dance.

Now even I feel Bandari
by Bandari (not verified) on Sun Feb 15, 2009 05:05 PM PSTThis was a beautiful video and I enjoyed it very much. As many people have mentioned this could have been any of our family gatherings. It is nice to see some normalcy in Iran. Although I have to mention; I do not remember the big old desktop computer part of any family gathering that I can remember;-)
Haji Iraj,
by Iraj Khane Masjedi (not verified) on Sun Feb 15, 2009 03:59 PM PSTApparently you are very uncomfortable here.
So, what are you saying is that, only Iranian upload their private materials and all other progressive and advanced cultures don't, and That's why we are backward.
Besides, you don't need to ooze your intellect here regarding this issue but to websites which are providing such facilities.
What is it my dear? Your immediate female surronding would like to enjoy their lives as any other female-being and you have been shaped masjedi and can't stand it and the society you are living in at this moment does not allow you to forbid it? Aaaaaah, too bad. You know, the good thing about this site and free societies is that everybody can and may express his/her thoughts, even yours, and yes, even their homemade video's.
BUT when it comes to a ruling entity which is based on your point of views, then we get islamic republic.
veraaj you said it well....excellent bandari dance
by sarshar45 on Sun Feb 15, 2009 01:08 PM PSTit is a simple video..... fun music, a nice home, and a beautiful woman and dancer. you can see everyone is enjoying her dance and someone wanted to share the beauty with us!
it is so nice to see some happy times in iran.... sometimes we forget that with all the negative aspects of society that are highlighted.
Excellent Bandari
by veraaj (not verified) on Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:59 AM PSTThat is excellent bandari dance. I cant see what is the problem. This is happening in every Iranian house.
Iraj,
It is not only Iranians who post home-made videos and there is nothing ill with doing this. This is a phenomenon of our time that can bring societies closer to each other and has to be celebrated.

by Goli (not verified) on Sun Feb 15, 2009 08:58 AM PSTI agree 100% a lot of problems have happened because of this especially in Iran private party videos that have been made public have been disasterous how do you know she gave permission for this?
These are family vidoes; don't post these things
by Iraj Khaneh Tehrani (not verified) on Sun Feb 15, 2009 06:40 AM PSTIt has becomevery common in Iranina society to diesseminate these videos taken from private parties.
I expect Iranian.com as an intellectual forum to avoid posting these videos. The spread of these private videos on Youtube and mobile devices is another text book example of our unfamilarity with technology and our ill culture.
