The Iranian-born Touradji's $2.7 billion assets under management make his commodity-based hedge fund the biggest in the U.S.

He is said to have a hot temper (former employees have sued over back pay and abusive behavior, claims he denies), but his trading is unusually disciplined in a volatile market..

Since starting his fund in 2005 he's never had a down year, including 2008, when he returned 13%. So far he's up 5.7% in 2009.

We don´t know anything about this gentleman, other than, he is rich.

Whether he is kind, generous, or caring, we don´t know. He may be.

Most rich in the US are not resented by the rest of us. Are they?(After all, we all KNOW we are going to make it rich one of these days and will be mingling with them in country clubs, playing golf)

I don´t know.

I think it is his Wall Street connection that has created this negative response from us here.

No where in the magazine did it say these are the richest 40 under 40, it said they are 40 rising stars under 40 years. They may be rich or may not but that was not the point and these are not certainly the richest people undrer 40.

Well he has bad temper, abused passed employees and didn't pay them their back salary even though he himself has nearly 3 Billion in the bank.  In other words, I don't think he would give a crap about anyone else or any causes
