if you want to quote a poll it is your responsibility to talk little about the poll and give it legitimicy.  it is not my responsibility to go and read to find out about this poll that you quote.  that is if you're after persuadidng people, which i assume you are or you wouldn't waist you time on here.  my main goal here is to show a few people that the reality we live in is very complex and we have to be very careful in analyzing everything. the reality might be too complex, more complex that we can handle.. that is another possiblity.. after all tihs is a discussion in game theory... that is why people should atleast have their fundations in few principles and try to be consistant and analyze every situation by those principles.  principles like equality, freedom of expression, tollerence, forgiveness.. if these acts are beautiful then maybe the nature is smater than us and is trying to tell us something.  so, i believe instead of trying to beat the other person in their mind games, use all of your mind power to abide by these principles.. let's see who is going to come on top!  i believe the goodness.. by the way, they believe the smarter person.. but their's is a belief too!! and if reality is too complex for anyone to know what the right strategy is, they can't possiblity be 100% right, just like us.  with the difference that we have God's peace with us, because we have acted according to his code, which is goodness.  goodness vs. assessment of what bring you maximum pleasure and minimum pain.  the other solution is to apply the analytic mind, not on gaining maximum pleasure, but on doing maximum good.  in this way, we use all of human potential and the chances of destroying ourselves might be diminished (maybe).  but all this uncertainty goes to show that we shouldn't be haste in forming an opinion and respect one another since we're dealing with the same infinitely complex system that we call reality.  ok, it's morning and my mind is racing, sorry.

but atleast unlike most of your other comments you're actually thinking in terms of what people want, good improvement.  i hope we can turn you into a freedom loving democratic person.i know you are going to say you are one, maybe you are, i hope you are.  but you give alot of reasons for people to think otherwise by your unfair comparisions.  some of your comparision are just out right nonsense. like comparing U-California tutition raise demonstrations to U-Tehran student demonstrations.  that takes all credibility from you, because you're comparing apples to mosquitoes.

be an act at all times in the name of Allah.

As much as I oppose general sanctions myself I disagree with you. Of course you could support democacy and sanctions. Why not? It was used successfully against South Africa. But sanctions should target the regime not people.

I do not see this as a binary USA vs Iran at all. I see it as a multifaceted situation. In fact my supposed "slaves" of the USA are doing just fine. This confrontational f*** y*** mentality is what has cost Iran so much.

How about: Japan; Germany which USA actually helped restore its territorial integrity; South Korea and so on. Human relationships do not need to be confrontational. Both at a personal and international level. They could be based on respect and cooperation.

Is Germany a slave of America? I do not understand why Iran has to be going head to head with America. How about using an approach like India? Unfortunately from the day they took hostages IRI chose the path of cofrontation.

The inevitable result is this. The next regime should take a cooperative approach. One that at once positions Iran as the regional superpower AND deals with USA. You may have them both.

Not giving the finger to others does not mean being their slave.

you can't be a

supporter of democracy in iran and a supporter of american sanctions and war against iran at the same time. what kind of a freedom fighter would do that?! it's a contradiction in terms. those fighting for freedom against oppression cannot choose subservience to america as a solution. if they do, then they are just slaves of a different kind.

peace

Yes Fred, reality has bitten you on the ass

Go ahead and review the poll:

//www.docstoc.com/docs/65872019/Iran-Public-Opinion-2010

Your opinions are in opposition to those held by a solid majority of Iranians inside Iran.

That is to say you oppose the will of the people of Iran. You are anti-Iran. You are nothing.

Reality is a bitch

by Fred on

When your whole operating theory is debunked, what do you do, attack the messenger.

Supporters of IRR, the Islamist Rapist Republic, its Islamist lite version and the oddballs seeing it as a strategic rival to Israel, now are going after the fact that it is not Israel v. Islamist Rapist Republic; rather it is Arabs + Israel facing off IRR. Reality is a bitch, deal with it.
