rtayebi1, what you can do is
by oktaby on Sat Jul 10, 2010 11:39 PM PDTstart doing whatever you can. Iranian freedom will not be bought with a dollar here and there. Donate if you can to worthy organizations and efforts you can verify. Beyond that there is a vast need for information exchange. Be part of the network, develop mailing lists and send useful info and links, join various FB groups, go to protests whenever you know of one. Sign good petitions or start one. Sakineh Ashtiani's life may have just been save d with one. Our culture is not good at taking ownership of their fate yet. Recruit and motivate others.
There may be a perception or expectation of one big event, but it will take all of us to to slowly create a productive sustainable movement that cannot be tricked again so easily. That understands and appreciates why and how we got here.
It is hard to call oneself Iranian if a deep painful sorrow is not weighing on your heart and mind. Take that sorrow, make a bullet out of it and aim it at the heart of our enemies foreign and domestic.

“Stop All the Clocks”
by Ahura on Sat Jul 10, 2010 09:39 PM PDT“….The stars are not wanted now; put out every one:
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods:
For nothing now can ever come to any good.”
Perhaps these lines from W. H. Auden's poem can help us grieve the loss of thousands of Iranian freedom fighters who have been executed by the IRI satanic regime, but defying the last line of this eulogy one must go on fighting and be the voice of these silenced heros. The Iranians who with a 98% vote adopted the IRI constitution on October 24, 1979 need to be informed more and join the opposition groups and overthrow this theocracy now.
The Iranians in diaspora can stop supporting IRI on all fronts and help the relatives and friends in Iran to do the same.
I want to know how can I contribute
by rtayebi1 on Sat Jul 10, 2010 11:24 AM PDTI want to know what can I do? I see all these videos and feel so so helpless. I love to donate my time or my money to change Iran. I am so tired of feeling helpless. WHAT CAN I DO BESIDES FEELING SO SAD
Islamist regime is so fearful of the brightest of Iranian youth
by fooladi on Sat Jul 10, 2010 09:33 AM PDTSince scientific and logical thinking is the key enemy of their rotten islamist so called "ideology". These bright individuals who in any other country, would start up tech companies, write and paint works of art, become science and litrature Noble Lauretes, are being imprisoned tortured and murdered by this medieaval islamist khalifat ruling Iran. But the day of reckoning is approaching, the day that islamist criminals have to answer for their crimes to the mothers of these Martyrs and to the entire nation of Iran.....................
The Lesson To Be Learnt ...
by R2-D2 on Sat Jul 10, 2010 04:23 AM PDTIf the lives of these young people, and their shed blood, is to have any meaning, then we, both the Iranians inside and outside of Iran, should continue and persevere with utmost determination to bring about the true Liberty and Democracy that they have paid such a heavy price for-
Let's not forget that this so-called Islamic regime has been nothing but a malignant tumor on the very body and soul of our Beloved Iran -
This very anger and disappointment that we all feel and experience towards this barbaric regime on a daily basis, should be turned into an overwhelming drive to completely uproot, and permanently eradicate this festering disease that has infected our Beloved Homeland for the past thirty (30) years -
Remember - By The Same Measure That These Bastards Have Meted Out Justice To Our Beloved Brothers And Sisters In Iran, That Justice Will Be Meted Out To Them -
Nothing More, And Indeed, Nothing Less :) - !
