NIAC: The same people who pushed us into war with Iraq are laying the groundwork for war with Iran. There's even a Congressional resolution that would "green-light" Israeli strikes on Iran. But we have time to prevent this disaster. Go to www.niacouncil.org/preventwar to learn how >>>

NIAC
by Benyamin on Thu Sep 16, 2010 04:56 AM PDTWhatever anyone thinks of NIAC, There is a point to all this. If USA or Israel attck Iran we have to kiss democracy and goodbye for another 50 or even 100 years for Iran.
I do believe the claim NIAC is trying to across and I think it is true that the very same people are pushing toward war.
But I don`t think anyone is stupid enough to attack Iran, not even surgically. Since that is an act of war and Iran wont leave it without response.
Even too many sanctions is dangrous and it may invoke some dangrous reaction by Iran.
Message to all Iranians - Please help and use force
by Simorgh5555 on Thu Sep 16, 2010 04:23 AM PDTIt is the duty of all Iranians to exert all efforts to remove the terrorist occupying regime of Iran. Unfortunately, all negotiations through diplomatic avenues have been exhausted and this sorry excuse for a government has continued to terrorise and violate the basis human rights of ordinary Iranians. All forms of peaceful opposition have been crushed whether it be an innocent protester holding a green banner in the street or a journalist and a blog writer who goes outside the 'green line'.
Iranians cannot stand back enjoying the ordinary freedoms they take for granted and hope for peaceful change to miraculously come about. This government must be removed by force if necessary.
I urge all Iranians to break their silence and abandon their complacency and confront hard realities. No repressive regime has ever been changed through in-action and civil resistance. In an idea world the government of Iran would show tolerance and respect civil liberties and human rights. They would respect the right of minortiies and women. They would negotiate and engage in constructive dialogue.
The Islamic Republic puts Islam first before Iran. Do YOU feel the same way?
This is not an ideal world. Iran is not being run by rational people and like all repressive regimes it must be removed by force.
The Iranian people are reaching out for our help. Their struggle is no different from other resistance movements in history and the call for arms for their liberation is a noble and just one.
Please support a national liberation army of Iran although it will need the help of countries such as the US. Do not be distracted by the 'let-the- one- who- has -not- sinned-cast- the- first- stone' mentality to reject help by the US when it is most needed. The US may have a chequered foreign policy history but no country is perfect. As Iranians we must be resourceful and use the help when it available to our advantage. Arguing the good and bad of American policy is irrelevant to the struggle for the liberation of Iran.
Every day that you stand back and do nothing an innocent person will be executed. Every day you stand back and do nothing a woman will be stoned or raped in Evin prsion. every day you stand back and do nothing Iran will be further Islamitized until all of its national heritage and idetnity will be cast down and forogtten forever.
The Persian Gulf will be renamed into the Islamic Gulf. The Caspian will be totally ceded to the Russians. The stones of the tomb of Curus in Passargad will vanish and slowly evaporate because of the humidity of the nearby water reservoir. The naional treasures of Iran will be looted and sold off.
Unless you act Iran will be no more. Please reverse the clock and fight the Islamic Republic. The eyes of the world are watching you.
Will you tell your children that you stood back and did nothing when Iran becomes a footnote in history?

Yes, exactly right. The same people. But as the lobby of IRI in the US, you naturally failed to emphasize that those "same" people are none other than the mollahs. In 1980, the mollahs, headed by Khomeini and with their Shia propaganda in Iraq, enticed Saddam to attack Iran.
Now the mollahs are doing the same. This time with Israel and the US. You do a lot of work to encourage us to convince the Senate and others not to attack Iran. But as an IRI lobby, you constantly fail to encourage us to convince our own government in Iran to change its behaviour.
Why is that?
And what happened to your "human rights" concerns on or around June of last year? God forbid, were those just to maintain your image?
I bet a lot of people in this site know the answer.

Enabling lobbying
by Fred on Thu Sep 16, 2010 01:46 AM PDTLets see, U.S. Senate is held by Democrats, U.S. Congress is held by Democrats, the White House is occupied by a Democrat and still “The same people who pushed us into war with Iraq are laying the groundwork for war with Iran.”
Is NIAC lobby saying all the political establishment in U.S. is nothing but a potted plant?
No question in opposing war, but how about looking at the enabling lobbying work NIAC and its conjoined twin CASMII lobby has been doing?
