CNN: Iranian exiles in Iraq said Friday that Iraqi security forces invaded their refugee camp and killed at least 31 people. Hundreds more were injured in the assault at Camp Ashraf, the People's Mujahedeen of Iran said. Iraqi army officials in Diyala province confirmed there was a conflict overnight but said they did not use live ammunition. The officials said Ashraf residents armed with shovels and throwing stones approached longstanding Iraqi positions around the camp and provoked the conflict. Ashraf residents and their supporters are calling the event a "massacre." >>>

by Mash Ghasem on Sun Apr 10, 2011 08:28 PM PDTSouri jan, the people who plan all these 25-30 year plans for the world, do they have hoofs and horns? tails?
Was the kid in Tunisia who burned himself to death also part of this 'planned' program? How about all those people that burned themselves to death in Egypt befor the mass movement took off? Were they given instructions to burn themselves ? And the April 6th Movement in there, that's also a western front? And millions of people in the streets? And when was the last time you went to a street demonstration and had to confront the police?
And at the end somehow you think all of this is by Israel and good for her. To prove how absoultely wrong you are, listen to this long term Israeli activist, and repent from your border line anti-jew/conspiracy thoeries.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Apr 10, 2011 08:26 PM PDTMany people write books; it does not make them right. However I agree there is a push for creating a global market. The capitalist powers want to make money. That means both cheap work and consumers with money.
To this end they want to remove the last remnants of resistance. I think it will be good for Iran to join the global economy. I said before I want to open an outsourcing firm. I want to ship software jobs to Iran.
The days of old style "revolution" are gone. IR is standing out like a sore thumb. As for civil war Iraq manage to remain intact. They have a lot less to glue them than Iran. So has Afghanistan. Yes there will be foreign push to remove IR. The smarter people will go along and benefit from it. The old guard will fight a losing battle and lose. Iran will most likely not only remain intact but expand. I see a common market including Iran; Iraq; Afghanistan; and many others in the region.
The socialist Marxist ideals lost! The MKO is cannon fodder.
USA will use and discard them. The new order belongs to skilled worker and industrialists.

A president is there for only 4 years (or 8 if they are lucky)
While the projects are planed on a 25 to 30 years base(even longer)
I wish I can get the name of a very good documentary about it. This is an American documentary wich explains the whole thing on a world scale. This is not about Iran especially. If I find it, I will come back here and mention it.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Apr 10, 2011 08:18 PM PDTYou are towing the IR line word by word with the fear monering. Yes I do have concerns about trouble makers. However I do not beleive in this "Master Plan". If there was one then is went badly wrong.
If there is a plan it is not being executed very well. I have no sympathy for MKO. I say they get what it coming and deserve it. However this "master plan" business is BS. There are lots of people cooking up plans in their heads. None is "master".

As soon as the MKO gets back its army, they will attack Iran. Then the Kurds will raise up, and then the Balouch and more ethnic groups will raise up and it will become a civil war! The exact plan which went in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Ivory cost,,,,,,etc etc.
This is only a matter of months...........
MKO was kept in Iraq, to serve a purpose
Don't duel over the obvious, please.

by Souri on Sun Apr 10, 2011 05:21 PM PDTHow come the news says that 5 Iraqi have been killed in that fight? They have been killed with what, if not with arms?
How could you believe that these MKO are unarmed ?
Why do you think that UN still didn't move them from Iraq? Do you think this is a big deal for UN to move some 3000 people to the asylum countries?
Do you know that some of them are European citizens who speak English or French or German very fluently? They can easily move back to the European countries. Why they don't do that?
Can you explain me why the Americans kept the MKO in the place, for so long?
This is all about a very sophisticated plan...........we are now approaching the day D !!!
All this is about the "lahaf Molla"
by Souri on Sun Apr 10, 2011 05:12 PM PDTThis is exactly the continuation of the same trend : Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, the Ivory cost.....with the help of CIA, and the management of Henry Lévy (read Israel)
All this cinema is for one and only reason! They want to legalize MKO, and remove it from the International list of terrorist groups.
Once this is done (with the help of our Human Rights defenders) the MKO will get back all its power, its army will be given back to them.
On the other hand, the Monarchist (and RP) need this group which is for now, the only trained force against the IRI.
So they will attack Iran, and it will be the start of another American (Human Rights'ish) action to help the people of Iran by landing in the country.
They are all working together for a divided Iran.
the CIA, Israel, Levy, Sarkozy, BBC......
Only the poor Monarchists including RP and also our dear Mrs Ebadi .....etol, are not yet aware of the ultimate plan and/or are too naive to believe in the killer's liberating hands!

There are more deserving people to help than the MKO.
When people betray their nation they should expect no sympathy. I would not want anyone killed. But the majority of my sympathy goes to others. People such as Kurds who were the victims of MKO.

by Azarin Sadegh on Sat Apr 09, 2011 02:38 PM PDTI really don't care about other comments, but since you used to be my friend, I am going to reply to you. I think you've been screaming so loud recently that your ears should be clogged...:-)
So please stop screaming and listen for a second! I stand by my own opinion, but I don't impose it on you, I don't judge you and I don't call you names...because I respect myself. It is that simple. Do you get it? Now you can go on and throw another tantrum...You are absolutely free to insult whoever you want, but then you can't expect to be taken seriously.
As one of my dear friends just wrote me, "there is no monopoly on empathy or morality". Everyone has his/her own particular sensibilities and life is a series of choices we make following our heart and reasons... so we are responsible for the consequences of these choices. If our choice is going to hurt ourselves or a loved one, we can't blame others. We can't expect the world to feel pity for our pain. We should expect the world to wonder how come we didn't apply this same pity to our own family? Why did we choose to put them in such difficult situation? Why did we let our kids die in isolation just because we said so?
And please think twice next time before accusing others who are not exactly like you, Darius! You're not perfect!I'm not either! Nobody is!! Yet, we can proudly declare that our hands are not bloody with the blood of our own compatriots!
Voila! I rest my case! Have a great week end!

by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Apr 09, 2011 10:20 AM PDTAre you out of your mind? or just woke up and realized that you have this urgent need to question my gender.
I have stated before that why I do not use my real name and have picked an online iD instead. I also have mentioned that my ID has not changed the fact that who I am. I am the same person and my thoughts on the issues remain the same. Now why should I hide my gender? I am a woman and that is why I choose an ID that matches with my gender otherwise I would not have picked that..... Furthermore, I am a published scientist as well as a published poet. Yes a poet and i can tell easily which poem comes from heart and which is just random words of here and there aim at some random audiences of here and there .
I happen to not like Leila's poem. As a matter of fact I think it is an insult to women.
Although it is not relevant to the topic here ...... I will repost the first comment on made on her poem. I also will blog later to answer your questions on the topic of western women.
By the way, next time that IC has a meeting or something in the real world or any event for that matter I will make sure to attend . May be it is not a bad idea to meet each other eye to eye. That will save us all some time to questioning each other's genders. What a shame .... I am so disappointed at you.
here my reply to Hooshang .......
but seriously ....... What is it exactly that makes this poem so great?
The part that one may mistaken her with cow or toilet or vacuum ?
What is it that she wants to prove ? that women and yes all of them are covered head to toe and then are dumb and whores .......
May be this is what she is .... may be this is what she sees when she looks into mirror ... may be this is what she has been forced to be ( which I believe none is the case for her) but she can not generalize it for us the women and call it even for sale ......
Since when being a house wife and raising a family is equivalent of being worthless ? Since when women are according to you are institutionally forced into this ?
This poem is not written from heart and as the result can not touch the heart..... This by itself suggests that the poet has not experienced any of this personally. She is just trying to be a few words of here and there for a few audiences of here and there ........
Do you want poetry?..... Do you want to read something about women? I will suggest you read poems of Nadia Anjuman...... The poetry of a women who lived through Taliban which is the worse case scenario yet still is not comparing mother hood and raising a family to the craps that she has brought up in this poem.
Nadia writes so passionately ..... she writes from heart and she touches one's heart because she lived through what she writes about ...... Nadia is not alive anymore .. Sad story of an abused wife ......
Here one of my favorite of hers " A woman who has awoken "
I'm the woman who has awoken
I've arisen and become a tempest through the ashes of my burnt children
I've arisen from the rivulets of my brother's blood
My nation's wrath has empowered me
My ruined and burnt villages fill me with hatred against the enemy,
I'm the woman who has awoken,
I've found my path and will never return.
I've opened closed doors of ignorance
I've said farewell to all golden bracelets
Oh compatriot, I'm not what I was
I'm the woman who has awoken
I've found my path and will never return.
I've seen barefoot, wandering and homeless children
I've seen henna-handed brides with mourning clothes
I've seen giant walls of the prisons swallow freedom in their ravenous stomach
I've been reborn amidst epics of resistance and courage
I've learned the song of freedom in the last breaths, in the waves of blood and in victory
Oh compatriot, Oh brother, no longer regard me as weak and incapable
With all my strength I'm with you on the path of my land's liberation.
My voice has mingled with thousands of arisen women
My fists are clenched with the fists of thousands compatriots
Along with you I've stepped up to the path of my nation,
To break all these sufferings all these fetters of slavery,
Oh compatriot, Oh brother, I'm not what I was
I'm the woman who has awoken
I've found my path and will never return.
