Baleh Azizam Fetchez La Vache ...

by Darius Kadivar on

I can appreciate a work of art yet not adhere to the subtle ideological subtext of the Jomhurykhah Propaganda being fed to us for the past 32 years by ex rebels now turned secular ...

It's called Critical Thinking

Fetchez La Vache

It may fit you to think we were such an 'oppressed' nation living under a 'Pinochet like' South American dictatorship or some other Banana Republic when we lived in Iran under the Shah but sorry to disappoint you ...

Ezatollah Entezami Bold Tribute To Shah’s Brother In Law Mehrdad Pahlbod on IRI TV

Zubin Mehta Fondly Recalls Shah of Iran's Invitation to India's Parsi Community

With all their imperfections I still prefer a Reformable Stammering Royal BIG BROTHER defending the Arts :

Colin Firth Presents Bahman Ghobadi's powerful film

Or BIG SISTER doing the same:

Shahbanou Farah Speaks about Kanoon Institute's Legacy (VOA)

To a Suave Speaking Jomhurykhah with Glossy hair defending my Human Rights on Capitol Hill in an attempt to maintain the neutral status quo to safeguard his Republic which despite ALL it's Crimes he still considers as Legitimate:

Siamak Dehghanpour talks with Trita Parsi on IRI's Nuclear Talks and Human Rights violations

Despite the fact that he himself lived most of his life under a Monarchy:

Persian Carpet Gift to Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and Husband

ROYAL FORUM: Iran-born Hanif Bali elected to Swedish Parliament

Yet Claiming not to understand the concept we Constitutionalists are defending:

ROYAL FORUM: Explaining the Concept of a Constitutional Monarchy to a Staunch Republican

And continue demanding from my likeminds an accountability for which personally I have never shied away:

Shahrnush Parsipur: "I was Never Physically Tortured by the SAVAK"

Maybe it's time to stop the 'Poshteh Pardeh' accusations and come out clean too from time to time instead of accusing us of 'Treacherous Alliances' with some of your own Republic's Offsprings now Turned Enemies ...

TREASON IS A MATTER OF DATES: Constitutionalist Response to a Jomhurykhah Query

But then I guess we all have our Loyalties after all don't we ? ...

PRIMARY COLORS: Reza Pahlavi and Trita Parsi Take a Stroll Down The Political Lane ;0)

;0)

Lastly a 'Poet' like you say is also a Citizen and is accountable to his or her audience to explain their choices when critically challenged for defending a given ideological or artistic stance. We are not forced to sit and admire in awe merely because a lot of money, talent and energy have been put in it's production.

N'en Déplaise à Abbas Milani until further notice we don't live in the Republic of China:

China Baffled by Support for Imprisoned Activist Ai Weiwei

Well at least Not yet ...

But then I guess 'Political Correctness' has never been my strong suite

Jahanshah Javid

Royal Big Father

by Jahanshah Javid on

Funny how some have no problem pointing to the evil Soviet BIG BROTHER but are completely blind to their own country's Royal BIG FATHER who saw poets as a threat to his throne. How fair and balanced we are... quick to fault others, but not our own leaders, our own ideology, our own actions.

Blame it on the poet!
