kABOB LOVER, so let me get this straight
by Parthianshot91 on Wed Jan 05, 2011 01:04 PM PSTYou're saying that we are oppressed and discriminated against, and admitting to it, yet you're saying we should do nothing against it? Boy, is that a slave mentality or what?
I don't know about you, but I don't like kneeling, sucking up to, nor bending backwards for other people. Fvck that. I don't wanna stay in America forever, but for the time being, we should atleast make a strong community and a strong image.
No, I'm not gonna accept her self-hating racist jokes, especially when it's so lame. I'm the Iranian here who cares about his image, you and her aren't, so I got more rights to speak than you do.
If you don't like how Iranians act then by all means leave this site and other iranians alone.
If you don't like being an Iranian/Persian then go away, shoo!

why doesn't this beautiful girl
by asadabad on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:50 PM PSTcome marry me.. is this what you're thinking deep down parthian??
:D
Don't be sexist by bashing Iranian men! Person w/o integrity
by Jonny Dollar on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:38 PM PSThas nothing to be respected for. If Iranian men would do such cheap shots at our expense, I would protest it as well. Equal treatment.
The problem with some people is that they want to impose their own loose moral values on the entire community. She is not an Iranian, as she said she is an American and as you can see one with loose moral character. Alright, I sound ommati, but so be it. We don't want to be stereotyped from one extreme to another.
Yes, this is a free country, so she is free to say whatever she wants, and we are free to tell her that don't do it our expense. Don't even mention Iranian/Persian if you want to degrade our culture and people. Respect us, and we would respect your freedom. Now, if I am putting my liberal american hat, then I'd say that was funny (sort of, not really.)

by kaboblover on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:30 PM PSTget over yourself. it's just comedy. if you don't like it, then don't like it. the fact is that iranians in america are a minority like mexicans, and asians, and they are oppressed. stop thinking you're the only one that exists in this world. we are all proud iranians, and comedy is just a vehicle to bridge people together.
people will form an opinion with or without this girl's comedy. stop taking yourself so seriously, and get a sense of humor. it's all subjective. if you don't like her jokes, then don't watch. but don't spew your negativity about how you're the master iranian all over this page. we're all on the same page here.
Right on AntiMozakharf
by kaboblover on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:19 PM PSTIt's so true. There is such a double standard. And some Iranians can't take that a woman is up there speaking, and being bold--after all, some Iranian men would prefer it if women didn't speak.

by Parthianshot91 on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:17 PM PSTThe day when we want "Iranians" like her representing us and our community is the day we all need to shoot ourselves in the head. she's the only one bringing her own people down by her ugly comments, and they weren't even funny. Have some respect for your own people and stop viewing everything Persian as a joke. You let one slide and the jokes will continue til we end up like the Asian or mexican community, a laughing stock to everyone. As long as people like me are here, that sh!t ain't happening.

Why Iranian version
by SIMONEH on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:14 PM PSTWhy Iranian version of comedy around sexy stuff and sex parts always turn to cheap one?
using genitalia to shock
by Damavand on Wed Jan 05, 2011 11:34 AM PSTusing genitals to shock and get attention is a cheap skill form of art. I know VP's who use cuss words in a meeting because they know how it gets everyone's attention. As teens compete for attention, they learn crossing the proper use of language gets a lot of attention. Some like Nadine learn that being brave to talk about their pubic hair and pointing to her vagina is an attention getter and is even considered as "self-confident"! Its no different if Maz Jobrani talked about his penis but he doesn't because he has in fact funny material.
I find it interesting how our brave commenters equal critique as "hate" or reflects as one's "insecurity". Give me a break!
It's not okay for men

Comment
by AntiMozakhraf on Wed Jan 05, 2011 11:02 AM PSTTo my fellow Iranian bro's .... if you think a woman degrades herself not to mention ALL women by an act like this, I suggest you read up a little on the meaning of respect and self worth.
What's this double standard? If this was a man doing the same thing you'd all be fine with it I'm sure.
Way over the top
by statira on Wed Jan 05, 2011 10:57 AM PSTEsp her waxing comments and touching herself. Just a slut is capable of doing it in public.
stupid, uncanny and at times annoying
by spatima on Wed Jan 05, 2011 09:53 AM PSTI dont understand why we have to support every "naneh ghamar" that decides to do something in the West.
I rather rank people based on their talent. Frankly Persian community is full of Talent, but I dont think this one has picked up any.
She's got none.
Her skit, at best is lame and pathetic.
In hope of a Free, Independent, Democratic and Secular Iran
DON'T HATE! Congratulate!
by omid@hotmail.com on Wed Jan 05, 2011 07:04 AM PSTShe is funny, just like Hadi, but Hadi appeals to the UK audience more, while Nadine is more suited for an American taste. We need more people like Nadine and Hadi to offset the crazy conservatives amongst us.
YOU GO GIRL!!!!
don't let these haters tell you otherwise.
Right on Big Boy
by kaboblover on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:52 AM PSTShe is funny! Why is everyone so insecure and hung up? We need laughter, and that is what Nadine brought!
funny
by kaboblover on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:49 AM PSTShe is so brave to be doing what's she's doing, and really talented. I love it! To all the haters, comedy is subjective. Open your minds a little, and stop being so jealous. You need to support your own group rather than bring them down. Good job, Nadine! Keep on going, you're going to the top!
pubic hair comedy
by Damavand on Tue Jan 04, 2011 10:17 PM PSTA good comedian does not resort to her pussy hair, and what goes in her couchi to get the audience going. She fits right into one of the Howard Stern studio characters who self-degrade for a few bucks.
The only remotely funny part was
by Parthianshot91 on Tue Jan 04, 2011 10:13 PM PSTwhen she made the joke about the name nega and neggar names, I told that joke to my friend long before I watched this. But seriously, women aren't funny, Especially her.

UHHHH
by Parthianshot91 on Tue Jan 04, 2011 09:52 PM PSTYucky yuck yuck yuck, both to her face and "comedy". If you're gonna self-hate and suck up to the whitey Amrikai's, atleast make sure it's funny. I was like -_- through out the whole vid, didn't even watch fully. Gross!

asadabad, did you look at the audience?
by Anahid Hojjati on Tue Jan 04, 2011 08:53 PM PSTThey looked non-Iranian and they seemed appreciative of her comedy.
Merci Pessteh for the link! Shappi Khorsandi is indeed wonderful
by Jonny Dollar on Tue Jan 04, 2011 08:43 PM PSTNow she is a talented young lady who is very funny like her dad (Hadi). She is wonderful without degrading herself or any Iranian women. There is no talk of getting drunk or laid....Notice her skirt right below her knees. Obviously her family upbringing has a lot to do with that (ASSILAT DAREH). She is my "the Iranian of the Month!" IRAIAN WOMAN COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR! Don't you think?
"God is love!"
cute
by asadabad on Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:44 PM PSTAtlthough, I don't think non-Iranians would be able to truly appreciate/relate to her immigrant themed humor.
Tavana...zereshk!!
by Big Boy on Tue Jan 04, 2011 07:51 PM PSTFemale degredation? What? Okay, nevermind. Typical mullah analysis on your part. If all you saw in this routine was "...waste down for the mere pleasing of the crowd" you have some serious problems. Anyway, if you don't like it, don't watch it.
Eroonnman, I agree. Most Iranians aren't ready for this as demonstrated by Tavana. Luckily for her, she doesn't give two flying fracks about what Tav and other insecure Iranians think.
Watched it a second time and just as hillarious as the first time around. Nice job Nadine!!!
Oh Well..........
by Bano Atefeh on Tue Jan 04, 2011 07:47 PM PSTIn general, I do not spend money to see obscenity act or hear profanity. I think, it takes a lot more talent to be a good comedian without using vulgarity but I have to give her a credit for breaking the double standard rolls and taking blames, since in our culture men may curse but it is not OK for women to do the same. I liked her energy.
Good
by Pessteh on Tue Jan 04, 2011 06:30 PM PSTShe is good.
Also Checkout Shappi Khorsandi, she is amazingly funny.

Big Boy Man
by Tavana on Tue Jan 04, 2011 06:29 PM PSTLife is by itself a comedy & needs all day long laughter to make it eternal. The females' degradation has nothing to do with Perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsian or any other natioooooooonalities! Her comic??? act is a copy cat of the Sunset Ave. (in Hollywood) satnd ups & is all about the waist down for the mere pleasing of the crowd. That is rather a sign of insecurity in this lady & not in the viewers!
Not ready for [Iranian] Prime Time...
by eroonman on Tue Jan 04, 2011 04:32 PM PSTLucky for her, Iranians are in no way ready for this...
