Wow!
by Michael Mahyar Hojjatie on Fri Mar 04, 2011 11:50 AM PSTAll this finger-pointing, name-calling, and blame-gaming going on here! What else is new, Iranians?
Well, here's hoping the Arabs get right what we screwed up 32 years ago with all their uprisings! At least they have a dozen or so countries to give them a dozen or so chances to nail it down!
Oh, and they have something else we don't have: UNITY! Not bad for a culture so many people seem to blame for destroying ours multiple times throughout history!
Same thing with Jews/Israelis which The Islamic Republic likes to curse so much! At least these two cultures FUNCTION as a people, instead of judging each other by socio-economic class and saying everyone else is "jealous" (Based on what?!? Some stupid designer clothes you charged on a credit card? Pathetic!) of them, amongst our countless other SELF-CREATED woes!
I love Shahbaanoo!

Once and for all.
Iran is a country FULL of natural resources. From commodities to energy to culture.
FILLED with it. Stuffed with it.
Could be self-sufficient overnight.
BUT it has always managed to have a bunch of psychotic, very much mentally retarded, kleptocrats at the helm, heralded by a yet another set of even more retarded and demented psychotic sycophants.
Whilst over 90% of the retards , only visible as part of a Fox News cartoon, squabble over historical facts, perhaps it is time to discuss fundamental issues about property. E.g. if oil is discovered in a place does it belong to that place or is it finders keepers, and or, should commodity prices e.g. rice grown in Gilan, be subject to international speculation or fundamentally support the nearest population?
The well-being of the population is of question. And I mean the well-being.
Well Said....Darius Kadivar

by Roozbeh_Gilani on Fri Mar 04, 2011 06:48 AM PSTThrough all these youtube links you are throwing at me?
That Iran under the last shah was better than Switzerland today?
Or Pahlavis were good because GooGoosh said so?
or Never mind the SAVAK, women could wear Bikinis under shah?
Believe me, it'd take a lot more than a few flimsy you tube links or "Javid Shah"s, to install a Monarch back in Iran. For that, think CIA/MI6.

I like Farah and also Reza Palavi, on a personal level. Nothing against them, personally. But the politics?
Look at what Roozbeh just said. Why not to accept and acknowledge the truth? We could get so much advanced if only we were ready to acknowledge the mistakes of the past.
Good luck.

The longest lasting "gift" of Pahlavis ...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Fri Mar 04, 2011 06:09 AM PSTTo the Iranian nation is no other that the islamist so called "republic".
Under the last pahlavi, Record number of Mosques were built in Iran, the vile message of islamist fascism was ignored , tolerated or even encouraged (as was the case in Hojjatieh society, whose poster boy, ahmadinezhad is now the "president" of Iran). Whilst at the same time, the secular opposition, from liberal, democrat J.M. to socialists and communists were silenced, jailed, tortured, executed after the show trials, or were simply murdered, by the SAVAK, which to this day exists under the new name & management of the Velayate Faghih of the islamist so called "republic".
I find it simply astonishing that there are still people around who believe in a future for the Monarchy, let alone the Pahlavi version of it in Iran...

by Reality-Bites on Fri Mar 04, 2011 03:30 AM PSTThat must've been the longest opening question I have ever seen in an interview. That Sadr fellow can sure talk. Seriously, check it out from 00.17 to 03.19, the guy keeps going in one breath. I'm surprised Farah didn't fall asleep before getting a chance to talk.

Fun
by comments on Thu Mar 03, 2011 04:09 PM PSTI have no intention to comment on the content of this video, but the below is just for fun:
Some more example of one’s memory about his son: (a) I cut him playing with himself, and he told me he had repeated the same action with his male friends. He prayed and prayed after each action. Later, he learned that he had to help himself with nuts, shirmoz, donbalan and a lots of drinks instead of prayers. I think Masoud Sadr frankly expresses his new job as a handy job.
One more thing: democracy is to dare to stupidly criticize Michelle Obama for being overweight. You heard the news?
Serious
by comments on Thu Mar 03, 2011 04:06 PM PSTQuestion: What is the reason that we call our coworkers/supervisors/managers despite of their importance or distinction by first name in the work place in here?
My answer: I don’t know about the historic trend, but I think it facilitates productive communication while the respect is still maintained.
I don’t think that “respect” is the reason in Iran that we call our collogues/supervisors/managers with their title or their honorific titles. I think it’s the lack of confidence in higher authorities. They don’t want to participate in beneficial communications. They want to keep the distance as much as possible.
Relevance to this video: They maintain their huge distance with other Iranians by being called with their “Kingdom title”.
