ISNA -Iran said it has entered into talks with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and called for implementation of international rules. The measure came after the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department has intensified embargo on Iran on October 5 and blacklisted Iran Air which led to IATA's refusel to continue cooperation with Civil Aviation Organization of Iran (Iran Air) >>>

Believe it! When hate gets so deep people lose their objectivity.

This is fucking absurd. The depth of ignorance to believe unsafe commercial planes are in any shape or form good for Iran? Ali-Khamanee has his private jet, so do the rest of top brass in government.
I don't believe any true Iranian, would endorse such idiotic and criminal move.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Oct 10, 2011 10:07 AM PDTDid you see the news here:
//iranian.com/main/news/2011/10/09
With 32 thousand Basiji in the streets. What choice do people have? Yes you sit on your high horse and make fun of Iranians. Most were not born when IRI was installed. Make fun of them; let them die.
Camels! Ha Ha I am laughing my head off. It was the last generation that made this mess. Now they are hiding in USA and other Western nations.
VPK! Iranian people have a choice... Either get on unsafe planes
by fanoos on Mon Oct 10, 2011 10:02 AM PDTor ride camels, mules, and donkeys as Sed Ali K. suggested here!
I would ride on anything but the unsafe IRR planes to go from point A to point B!

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Oct 10, 2011 09:53 AM PDTSure this is really going to help bring donw IRI. Morel ike bring down Iran Air planes. If they want IRI gone they need to stop buying oil. Not making Iran Air unsafe. I am sure the people who die in coming crashes will thank IATA.
Thank You, IATA!

This is important news
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Oct 10, 2011 08:12 AM PDTIATA is very important association. From my background, I remembered it to be super important and i just checked again,
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Air_Transport_Association
Above link is to Wikipedia regarding what IATA does but no Wikipedia needed on this one actually. Anyone who has worked in avaition can tell you that this is important orgainization. All standards regarding equipment on airplanes are regulated by this association. Honestly, I can't see how a country can fly airplanes commercially and not be a member of this association.
