Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities if necessary to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon, former Vice President Dick Cheney tells Newsmax.TV in an exclusive interview. "I think they would," Cheney said when asked about the possibility. "I think Iran represents an existential threat, and they'll do whatever they have to do to guarantee their survival and their security."

"over the years" ,ey
by Tiger Lily on Tue Sep 13, 2011 02:32 PM PDTla belah, lahbelah, vabelah , ey vallah!
This particular Dick and other pricky subjects have been desperately trying for years now, especially since the Illegal Invasion of Iraq and consequent mass genocide of one million people, to get a media acceptable go zone over Iraq to hit iran in "waves".
Go Sista, go!!!
"It may seems that there is no hope but the revolutionary generation
are getting old and Iranian youth are not going to put up with these
craps forever ..... and they can change their own destiny with no
foreign help.
We may not be alive to see that but that is much better to be alive
and see them all killed in the name of so called democracy. "
Just one thing, I would have changed "help" to "foreign intervention", but the PR machine is using "help" in Libya too. More massacre....
Yes .. they can
by Soosan Khanoom on Tue Sep 13, 2011 02:27 PM PDTIt just need time and good leaderships. We have to get all the classes on the board not just the middle class. The middle class youths mostly prefer to Ski in Shemshak rather than changing their own destiny. I do not have much hope on them. But the poor people of society are the ones who can bring changes . It is true that poor people are tend to be more religious and it is true that many are being brainwashed with VF religious craps right now. or at least their parents are. But they are not going to put up with it for that long.... because unlike their parents these kids are educated with some university degree.
Be patient .........

by Truthseeker9 on Tue Sep 13, 2011 02:24 PM PDTWhat about the bloodshed that IRI is inflicting on Iranians? Do you honestly think Iranian youth can topple this regime on their own?
What do you think of the Libyans after asking the West to help them topple Ghadafi? Are those "rebels" Bad Libyans?
Can you please clarify what you mean by western life style, and what is has to do with this discussion?

by Soosan Khanoom on Tue Sep 13, 2011 02:13 PM PDTHow can you call yourself Iranian and support a foreign invasion? Only a third world country has citizens that can actually think that low ...
I bet you, even if Iran is going to be as you want it to be, you still are not going to give up on your western life style and move back. Then why would you even want a war for Iran? If you were trapped in tehran with no where to go while Nato is bombing the hell out of you would you still be encouraging any war now?
Killing certain people only? are you serious? like these bombs can distinguish who is who? Media can do that by telling you so or showing you only things that they think you should see but the bombs are just going to kill indiscriminately.
Beside what makes you think that people of Iran are not supporting military or Sepah in the event of an invasion?
Do you want another round of " jang jang ta pyrozi "? or do you want a free Iran . something permanent and ever lasting which can only be achieved through reform?
It may seems that there is no hope but the revolutionary generation are getting old and Iranian youth are not going to put up with these craps forever ..... and they can change their own destiny with no foreign help.
We may not be alive to see that but that is much better to be alive and see them all killed in the name of so called democracy.

by Simorgh5555 on Tue Sep 13, 2011 01:37 PM PDTI entirely agree with you.
The focus of attention should not - I repeat, should not be the focus of any military action. Cheney and Israeli Prime Minister are making it clear, incase it wasn't obvious before, that they are less concerned with human rights in Iran than they are in Iran's nuclear capabilities. Every country of course acts in its own interest but the insipid implication of all this is that if the nuclear threat was neutralised then the IR would no longer be a threat to the world.
On the contrary, the main existential threat to Israel and more importantly to Iran is the IR's existence itself. Attacking Iran's nuclear power plants will endanger the lives of millions and cause ordinary people to rally round the Ahmadinejad.
No military action is unfortunately without the likelihood of innocent casualties but it is far better to aim any attack on the Basij and Revolutionary Guards whether it be in the form of targeted assassinations or surgical strikes. The IR will not - will NOT stop killing, executing and destroying Iran's heritage without a credible use of force. This is easy for us to say living abroad in exile but what would you rather we do get fat and turn our back on our compatriots?
Military action - the right type - is the only solution
