HRANA: After being summoned, Noura Nabilzadeh, a Mashad Bahai citizen, appeared at the Mashad Judiciary's Sentence Enforcement Unit, where she was detained and transferred to Vakilabad Prison in order to begin serving her five year prison sentence on Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was accompanied by Sonia Ahmadi, another Bahai citizen, who was also sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court. Sonia Ahmadi commenced her prison sentence, too.
Noura Nabilzadeh, 23, was first arrested on June 22, 2010, when she and some of her friends were playing music at a Mashad orphanage. Mashad security forces entered the orphanage, presented a warrant for her arrest and transferred her to her home, where they searched the premises, confiscated Bahai books, images, and CD's, her laptop computer, a computer hard disk, and cell phones belonging to the entire family. Noura Nabilzadeh was then transferred to Mashad's Intelligence Office Detention Center, where she remained for three months and was released on bail of $50,000 on September 19, 2011.
Later, Noura Nabilzadeh was sentenced to five years in prison by a Mashad Revolutionary Court on charges of "propagating the Bahai faith," and "Membership in the Bahai community," and an appeals court upheld her sentence in full on May 30, 2012,
In addition to Noura Nabilzadeh and Sonia Ahmadi, three other female Bahai prisoners by the names of Rozita Vaseghi, Nahid Gahdiri, and Sima Eshraghi are also serving their five-year prison sentences on charges of "propagating the Bahai faith," and "belonging to the Bahai community."
Noura Nabilzadeh's father, Davar Nabilzadeh, and her uncle, Jalayer Vahdat, are also currently serving their five year prison sentences inside the Vakilabad facility, where they have been prisoners for more than two years.

All Hail Patriots!
by shahrvand2 on Wed Sep 19, 2012 09:35 PM PDTAll Iranians should support Noura, all political prisoners and all prisoners of conscience. Given a chance, of course, the resident security agents will continue to spew their hate speech and recite their well-practiced nonsense. But, more and more, these bums are being confronted by a well informed and united group of patriots. It is very uplifting to see this unity!

The Haifan-Bahai Movement Uses Victim-Generated-Publicity to Make Money, While the Rich Leaders Don't Answer Questions. More Victims = More Money. Accordingly, shifting away from the Zio-Bahaism of the Haifan-Bahai movement and to the Reform Bahais, www.ReformBahai.org, is better for people that choose that religion. (Choose any faith you want, or none at all, but if you want to be a Bahai, why not choose a sect that doesn't have the abusive and exploitative elements?)
FIRST READ THIS & RESPOND TO ITS POINTS. (See God Business is big business: Bahai Leaders confirm not caring about Followers .)
Maryamjoon, for the record, 2 questions for you
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Wed Sep 19, 2012 08:02 PM PDTYou are for the Removal of the IRI and bringing to Justice the Akhoonds who are committing crimes on Iranians, right? You are not trying to distract Iranians from the ongoing crimes of the IRI which have and are inflicting injury, harm and suffering on Innocent Iranian people?
Otherwise your loyalty to Iranians, would become far more in question than any Bahaii, for helping those who are stealing Iranians Freedom and Justice.
This would bring us back to the Hypocrissy point. If you don' seek the removal of the IRI your views are hypocritical. By seeking 1) less foreign meddling, 2) seeking more loyal Iranian citizens. If you don't oppose IRI whole heartedly and emphatically, take a look at the maliious hypocrissy and make the change.

THE BENEFITS:
> Breaking away from the rich 9 millionaire Bahai leaders who are too cowardly to answer questions in public by their critics, and are more than happy to rake in the cash from anti-Iranian propaganda.
> Taking away Israel's use of Bahais as a propaganda tool against Iran.
> The ability to ask questions about the truth of what you are being told without the risk of social-psychological pressure, ousting from the faith, shunning from friends and family, and other tools of inhumane control.
> The ability to criticize Israel's apartheid policies and boycott Israel.
> The ability to be seen as a more loyal citizen of Iran.

One Hundred Thousand
by vildemose on Wed Sep 19, 2012 07:39 PM PDTOne Hundred Thousand Veils', from Luke Slott's upcoming album 'The Light of Unity', was written to mark International Human Rights Day (10th December). The song focuses on the deteriorating human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, specifically the plight of the Iranian Bahá'í community, Iran's largest religious minority, who are being systematically deprived of some of the most basic human rights, including the right to higher education. MJooni you misuse the word Iran, when you mean Akhoonds
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Wed Sep 19, 2012 12:12 PM PDTAkhoonds/IRI are the greatest harm for iran and iranians. Reform Akhoonds/IRI by separating Religion from Government for the sake of the greatest number of Iranians, this should be your primary request. In your post you acknowledge your reasoning has no issue with Noura, but the misuse of Bahaii leaders by foreign elements.
Our Akhoonds were once upon a time doing the exact same thing Maryamjooni, from Khomeini to the mullahs in power today, so not only would it be wrong for you to judge innocent Noura, but also it would be wrong for you to judge Bahaii leaders for such actions, unless you base your values on hypocrissy. Which is sharing Western filthy values.

Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights. They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.
Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a free independent and prospers Iran.
Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.

Her "crime"? BEING A BAHA'I
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Wed Sep 19, 2012 06:53 AM PDTYep, that's all it takes . Believing in a different religion than the one the murderers, thievs and criminals in charge of Islamist republic of zereshk claim to believe in, for a perfectly law abiding citizen to be deprived of all his/her liberties, banned from education, and Jobs, be persecuted all his/her life, and then be locked away, tortured and murdered.
Now, I have a special prize for the first cyber scum of the islamist regime who has sold not only his soul, but his namoos as well, for the sake of a few hundred dollars or pound sterlings/month, who is going going to "comment" first on this blog.....
