Photo essay: City rising after devastating earthquake
Arash Arjmand and his family made the day’s drive from Shiraz to wonder what this room with no roof and no door might have been. The family sidestepped mound after mound of ruined terracotta as they toured the ghost fortress of Bam Citadel, just five years ago a 25-century-old monument but now merely ruins. At the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the ancient Silk Road city of Bam, Iran, engineers from around the world are attempting to piece together what used to stand as the world’s largest adobe structure and best example of a fortified medieval walled city

Payam and medical ethics (?)
by MEHRNAZ SHAHABI on Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:28 AM PDTPayman, if you have had psychology training, extended or otherwise, good but that it gives you additional responsibility. You are not addressing the issue of medical ETHICS for abuse of your knowledge and position. I sincerely hope you reflect on this very serious matter and take it on board. I am not saying this unkindly because although I do not agree with your politics, in this instance, I would have said exactly the same to someone whom I agreed with. Regards

Payam and medical ethics (?)
by MEHRNAZ SHAHABI on Wed Jun 03, 2009 03:14 PM PDTDear Payam, I too live in Europe. You say to Capt Ayhab and Anonymous 7:
"Because of my background as a medical student, I have enjoyed extended psychology training. And based on your unbalanced comments, I can only presume a personality disorder or intoxicity as the cause of your behaviour. It wasn't my aim to call you an addict, but I still feel that you should have your head examined. Whether your way of reacting and your condition as whole is caused by drugs or you ( and
Anonym7 for that matter too) are suffering from a personality disorder, is hard to say since I need to examin you more closely".
The extensiveness of your psychology training as a medical student is a matter of perspectives. However, firstly, any psychology training you might have received does not qualify you, as a non-specialist, to make a diagnosis; it would only familiarise you with some concepts and methods. But MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, I must remind you that as a medic, using your position and 'knowledge' for point scoring and political purposes - and in the way you have been using it to insult other people - is against the Hippocrates Oath you have presumably singed as a medic. It is unethical and a professional misconduct. You must be very young and got carried away but please do not do this in future. It does not bode well for your career and style of your relatedness as a medic.

by Anonym7 (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 11:33 AM PDTKourosh_jan, joking aside, ...., just out of curiosity, why are you so sensitive about Iran's nuclear program?
Ananymous 7
by KouroshS on Wed Jun 03, 2009 10:25 AM PDTYou are still angry. That is not good.
As i said before, It takes one to know one. You always do such a good job at proving my point. Thank you.
Capitan jan.
It seems to me that despite our baradar's pretending that he is all for peace and prosperiy, something deep down in him would not allow him to just let it go. I am just happy to be doing him a favor and letting him relieve his anger and frustration.
Nuclearly ... i mean... sincerely yours. doostan.
we are fine capt!

Having said that:
We got it, you have a degree in English spelling. Like I said before, I don't speak English at home or anywhere else for that matter. Hell I don't even write that much in English. I speak Parsi at home and an Eurpean language ( none of your business which) at work.
Your comments really confirm my strong belief that you lack freinds and a personal life. Only thing you seem to be doing here is critisizing other man's comments and looking for gramattical or spelling errors. Unlike you I have a personal life and don't like to spend much of my valuable time on my comments here( to no life's like yourself) to see if I am writing in correct English. Hell, this might be the only topic where I used so many words. Well I was trying to help you. Now I am trying to just shut you up.
But for real, have a mental check up. I would be glad to send you to one of my friend psychologists here in Europe. Maybe he can offer you some discount.

prosper and secular Iran? (to Koroush, Ayhab, and Payam)
by Anonym7 (not verified) on Tue Jun 02, 2009 08:12 AM PDTOk..., gentlemen and Kourosh, we disagree on many issues .... and we made fun of each other ... and laughed. Can we now have a virtual drink (some good Iranian virtual aragh sagi) to a prosper and secular Iran in near feature. I believe we have enough in common to do that.

It is not the same as when studying psychology. When one studies psychology, he has to have more than extended psychology training, he will have to study psychology and at the end of the study he is a qualified psychologist. As you point out medical student have PSYCHIATRY as a part of their study as a semester. This since psychiatry is a part of the family of medical specialties.
But hey, what do I know. I am just a physician.

Has your psychology training thought you this much vulgarity and character assassination? Or is it that this manner of slander and arrogance been with you for a while now. Pay a visit to one of your colleagues I am sure there are therapies for anger and belligerence.
