There is no such a site!
Why Shah was overthrown? Simple, Shah's comment in 1973-
He said, in 1979- IRAN WILL NOT RENEW their contracts with the Cartels- and that is the bottom line.
Why and How Shah was overthrown ...

The American Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, had told the Shah, some years previously, that, "after the President of the United States," and on that geo-strategic level, where political events and military problems converge, "you are the best-informed man in the world."

Conclusion: They don't get it!
by Anonymouso (not verified) on Fri Apr 24, 2009 07:03 AM PDTPeople like Shriazie don't get it! That's it! They're the ones that were not happy before the revolution and now are probably flipping kababs somewhere outside of Iran just to make their ends meet. Those are the main losers of this game and of course they are angry! The problem is they can't admit they were wrong in doing what they did (i.r., Enghelab), they got fooled by the propaganda and fought for bringing Khomeini to Iran...Mojahed or Jebhe Melli or Toodeyi or whatever else...they all got fooled but they just don't want to say the words: we got fooled! So instead they keep complaining about SAVAK! Guess what, I don't like the idea of SAVAK, but the reality is that even in the biggest democracies of the world today we do have organizations like SAVAK that their job is to protect the "system" against "terrorsits" and they still do use torture and other invasive methods to get their job done...if you don't believe it turn on your TV and tune to CNN! Majority of kids in Iran have no clear picture of SAVAK and Pahlavi. They just like those names and prefer them to Khomeini, Khameneyi and NAJA and Nahaja. They have bands named after Pahlavi era names, cause they sound way cooler!! GET REAL.
irannostalgia.com Spain is PRECISELY a Good Example ;0)

But well At least we have made some progress since you accept the fact that the Royal Family can come back as simple citizens. Thats already a Huge Step Forward ! Maybe in a year you will even want them back as Truly Constitutional Monarchs. So Keep it up you Republicans are progressing in your views. ;0))
Oh And Before I forget ... VIVE LE ROI !

shirazie You made some Serious Accusations ...
by Darius Kadivar on Thu Apr 23, 2009 05:00 PM PDTHmm ... Interesting and Yet, even if We have no reason to doubt you but why write under anonymity then ? Are you afraid of exposing yourself to some old Savak Agent somewhere in the Cyber web community who could come after you after 30 years ?
Well Mr or Mrs. Shirazie, could you offer evidence for your claims such as to begin with your real name, as well as those of your family members who were tortured and if you have the names of the torturers in question as well as the Prison ( Evin or any other ones in the country )and the reasons for their arrest in the first place.
Surely this could help maybe even an investigation so as to bring the Savak Agents ( if they were indeed Savak Agents and still alive) to justice ! I am sure Amnesty International can be of help thanks to their archives, so why not give us your feedback in the day of Light and not under anonymity ?
I am sure your valuable testimony could serve True justice and can benefit to all the readers better understanding if you offered clear evidence for your accusations regarding your own family members.
Or were you satisfied by the Revolutionary Courts Rapid and arbitrary Judgments of the likes of Nassir, Rahimi, Naji, Khosrodad executed without a fair trial ? ...
Just wondering ...
Variety of pictures
by irannostalgia.com on Thu Apr 23, 2009 04:07 PM PDTNot all pictures in this set are of the palace. The picture of the flying chimpanzee chosen by Iranian.com for the cover missrepresents the rest of the album. Some of the pictures are of Tabriz, empty roads, nature, etc.
Iran has no monarchy. That ended in 1978. That is the only nice thing about the revolution. The former royal family are to be considered regular citizens under the same law and respect as me and you.
I am actually surprised that they have their pictures on display!!! To give a little comparison. In Spain, statures and images of Franco are not destroyed, but they are definitly removed from public view and stored away.

Splendid Photos Neeku Jaan ;0))
by Darius Kadivar on Thu Apr 23, 2009 01:45 AM PDTTHANKS A MILLION, It seems you Beat Me here in the Pictory Section category ;0)
Great Photos and I think it is a splendind thing that the Palace can be visited today by Iranians from all walks of life. It was not the case before the Revolution except for Golestan Palace which I believe was open to visitors.
Each Era has its great sides and shortcomings. I think what matters is to maintain our cultural heritage as testimonies of the past. One thing that can be credited to the Revolution is that at least they did not destroy and plunder the Palaces although some things did get destroyed.
Reza Looks Coolin his pilot suit in front of the Jet !
