Promise of 72 virgins and endless wine

Following of the Koran including “Make War on the
Christians, Jews and infidels for great eternal
rewards including 72 virgins and endless wine with
no side effects.” (Koran Sura 9:5, 29-30, Sura 56.)

From Sura (chapter) 9:5 of the Koran. I’m reading
this directly out of the book and this is from the
Koran, according to our guest:
'When the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them and lie in wait for them with every kind of ambush. But if they convert and observe prayer and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way.'

Koranic verses

34th verse of the fourth chapter of the Koran, An-Nisa , or Women. "[A]nd (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them,"

Koranic verses such as At-Tauba ("The Repentance") 9:5, which states that Muslims should "slay the pagans wherever ye find them" or Al-Mâ'idah ("The Table Spread with Food") 5:51, which reads, "Take not the Jews and Christians as friends."

1. Sahih Bukhari was a moslem scholar from the 9th century. He is one of the most well known and respected moslem scholars among moslems. Here are extracts about Aisha from his most famous book:

2. طبری Yes OUR own Tabari! The Persian moslem scholar and historian of the 9th century. Sorry no links, but go buy his book. They sell his book even on Amazon. I have included the Volume and the page numbers where he refers to Aisha being nine years old when married to Mohamad:

This is NO ART

I am an Iranian woman from a minority religion born in Tehran. Eventhough I can not stand the amount of torcher the Iranian government have put us under (women/minorities...etc.) I find this so called "ART" very offensive to women and in general to Iranians and to any Muslim in the world. It is just plain stupid, my 6 year old can come up with better nonsense to make her artwork than what you are trying to feed us. I am sure you are dam board that’s why you are doing this…and for God's sake have some respect for Women. You can not make a point (really not a good one that is worth listening to) by grossly attacking Islam.

Can some comments get any lower? Just look at the language used! Its good to see that the supporters of these pathetic photos are all bi-adab lowlifes who use dirty language that reflects the kind of upbringing they have recieved (if any). I do not support forcing people to follow any religion, nor do I endorse the IRI at all -quite the contrary.

However, I just commented on Diane's post where she asked why Islam is the religion that dictates how women dress.

I think the problem is not those religious police that force people, but more the mentality in Muslim countries. Overhere, on this site you see the exact same mentality just from the other extreme, trying to "flush" Islam down the toilet.

Islam and respect

They Islamists on this thread want more respect towards Islam out of respec for millions of our moslem brothers in Iran. They want refraining from insulting Islam.

You got to be kidding me! Islam is a religion that does not show any respect to anything that is none-moslem. Heck, moslems ARE REQUIRED by DIRCET ORDER OF ALLAH in KORAN to kill any one who does not want to believe in Islam, or turn away from it.

History, specially recent history is filled with the lack of respects moslems have towards none-moslems. I wish it could be limited to lack of respect. Respect is child play. Forget about respect, THEY KILL YOU! They have no respect for your life.

Moslems of the world: If you want respect, then begin by respecting others. No respecting others = no getting respect either. Period.

The muslims need to get it

The muslims need to get it through their thick skull that they are not special and anybody can criticize their religion specially when their religion is creating havoc on this world. Yes, Christianity, Judisam, or whatever religion might have been oppressive and dictatorial, however, you don't see Christians or Zoroastrians blowing themselves up in the name of their relgion. Islam needs to be reformed just like other religions. Until then, everyone has the right to criticize it and demand it to reform itself instead of creating division; producing a world of Infidel vs. muslims. If that's what muslims wants that's what they will get. Get used to being criticized as long as you go around chanting "death to this" and death to that and issuing fatwas and killing artists or exterminating those who disagree with you.

I see that there are many people here who think they are so open minded and intelligent that they have no fear showing their distaste with Islam. (It is important here to note that they have no right insulting the beliefs of Millions of Iranians, Nor is any of this photography artistic, it is only provocative.)

I have always agreed with you that Mohammad was a pedophile, Islam was a religion that opressed the human spirit, and human instincts, therefore creating many social ills. For example, there is alot of sexual abuse of adolescents within Islamic societies. I believe that alot of it is caused by Sharia Islam and they way Sthe strict Muslim thinking perverts the human soul and mind. Yet we are never allowed to talk about it. There are many other illnesses of Islam, or thediffrent ways it is practices and used, or misused.

This is true of many other religions as well. Vatican city is a clear example. In fact Vatican City is dubbed "Batiman City", meaning "The city of faggots" in Jamaican, by the Rastafarians. You might want to read Max Weber, or Nietzche to see how sick true christianity is. The Jewish faith, and Orthodox Jedaism do not fare any better.

The shocker to all of you so called "Free Thinkers" who keep bashing Islam as if you are the only ones who understand how bad the Current regime in Iran is starts here. Reza Shah, as much as I love him despite his Machiavellian ways, was infact quite a dictator who opressed and killed many minorities. The Great Persian Empire was not so great either. Zorastrianism had become quite an oppressive faith serving the interests of an Aristocratic, and exploitative elite in Persia, by the time of Yazdegerd. The chador was actually an adoptatin from Zorastrianism, and arabs learned to wear chadors from the Persians. The deshdashe was an Arabic adaptation of the gowns worn by the Tax collectors and governers of the Sassanid Empire. Persian kings were just kings, like any others in history. They looted, conquered, and their armies raped and murdered. The great and massive Army of Persia was defeated by a Small army when they attacvked Sparta. The Great and numerous army of Darius the Third was defeated by Alexanders small army.

I you want to be a free thinker and unbiased, then be truelly unbiased. If you think you have the currage to dare to be offensive, then be offensive, but don't just be offensive to some, dare to offend everyone, by showing the lies of "ALL" of them. You cowards, only dare to offend Islam, because it is an easy escapegoat these days. You act like you are so brave to be showing how awfull Islam can be, as if you can't see that it is all over the place. I have read the Setanic Verses too. How many of you cowards have?

So stop insulting people, because you too have alot to be ashamed of.

Thank you for bringing this up,,, my problem with this is that I don't see in any country a bunch of "binAmoos" going in the street and forceing people to follow their religious dress codes,,,,the followers of all religions are free to ware what ever they want,, more important the followers must obey their own religion. In Iran or any other Islamic country everyone muslim or not have to follow Islamic hijab even if you are not a muslim.

So I hope you got my point...
