by Nazy Kaviani on Mon Jul 05, 2010 02:52 AM PDTJaat vaghean kheili khaali bood! We went around saying this all night! Kayvan joret-o keshid; you owe him big time! It was one of those nights when it felt particularly great to be a part of the Iranian community in the Bay Area. Of course, there were Kiosk fans there tonight who had traveled from Seattle, Los Angeles, Orange County, etc. Jaaye hameh doostan khaali bood!
I could feel the energy
by Jahanshah Javid on Mon Jul 05, 2010 02:43 AM PDTI could feel the energy all the way from Budapest!
Thanks Nazy Jan for reporting back. I've already gotten very nice feedback by email from people who were at the concert. Thank you and all the volunteers for making it happen with your hard work.
And thank you to Kiosk for rocking our world!
Two soldout shows, an unforgettable night!
by Nazy Kaviani on Mon Jul 05, 2010 02:31 AM PDTThanks Monda Jan, MPD, Oktaby, and Bayramali Jan.
Wasn't it an absolutely wonderful night?! Which was it, the intimate setting, the band's performing their hearts out, or the extraordinary musicians who collaborated with Kiosk tonight? I don't know which, but I know that the overall effect was superb! It was a great night for Kiosk fans in the Bay Area. It was a real treat to hear Bruno Pelletier, Jason Ditzian, and Paul Mehling play with the band and to get a preview of Kiosk's new songs.
I should say khasteh nabasheed to Kiosk for a job well done. I would also like to say a special thank you to the Iranian.com volunteers who worked very hard, Hadi, Payam, Vahid, and Mohammad. This was an excellent night with lots of fabulous memories! Kiosk rocks!

Emotionally Provocative, ...
by Monda on Sat Jul 03, 2010 04:38 PM PDTSubstantial and Heartfelt are the adjectives that come to my mind about Kiosk's music and lyrics. Then there's their Coolness factor which I think is partly the result of their individual attributes and their fun-to-watch/hear/ experience down-to-earth chemistry. These guys feel bliss while they play their tunes and pass it on to their audience. Really cool on the eyes.
Some of my favorites of Kiosk:

Ordinary men
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Sat Jul 03, 2010 03:24 PM PDTKiosk is one of the most favorite Iranian rock/jass/blues bands. I enjoy their particular brand of music with political and humorous lyrics. I also like the group because their songs are unpretentious, they feel real and heartfelt.
My favorite song is adam'e mamoli:
