MM, ham1328, KFRavon, Sid Sarshar and Tehran
by Monda on Tue Aug 16, 2011 08:51 AM PDTThanks for visiting this album and your comments!
MM jaan, I'm bombarded with humor, daily. But I, with or without effort, forget. Can't wait to read Your new ones : )
Ham1328, sorry your comment's lost.
FRavon aziz, So glad you enjoyed these. I agree with you on revisiting CR. In ways my cultural views of Nicaragua were deeper. However I didn't find those pics suitable for posting.
Chile, Peru and Guatemala are on my list too. Your shots of those spots added to previous reasons for visiting South America.
Dear Sid Sarshar, This is the way I did it: Poured my heart & soul in various projects/ causes for oh like 25 years, then opted to refresh, AKA simplify my life. I hope you try it at some point, it'd be well worth the concequences...
Dear Tehran, Do keep in touch with your cousins : )
I enjoyed looking at each and every one...
by Tehran on Tue Aug 16, 2011 03:47 AM PDTMonda Joon, thanks for sharing these photos. I enjoyed looking at each and every one. I especially liked your photography style, capturing good, bad and in between. I have a great fear of reptiles (Marmoolak o inha), even though for a while we had a Bearded Dragon as a pet. I think I will be mortified if I find out one of them is sunbathing near me!!:)). I have a few cosines in Costa Rica( or whatever the name is these days, --->>> referring to JJ's comment to Red Wine's post) maybe it's time to visit them for let's say a month or two.
How do you
by Sid Sarshar on Sun Aug 14, 2011 08:35 PM PDTWonderful essay, I feel relaxed just looking at it. Now that you have shown us this beauty, can you please give us a tip how to take a month off in this crazy world.
Thanks for a feel good essay, sid.
Where is my comment?? Did IRI deleted it??
by ham1328 on Thu Aug 11, 2011 10:24 AM PDTlovely!

nice pics.
by MM on Wed Aug 10, 2011 06:36 PM PDTnice pics. Looks like something that many of us would not hesitate to do. I do not blame your friends for volunteering to keep you company.
I guess you are refreshed and ready to post more jokes!
Truthseeker9, thank you!

by Truthseeker9 on Wed Aug 10, 2011 04:01 PM PDTAmazing photos, beautiful colours. Love the closeups of flowers and wildlife. I wonder what the story behind Number 69 is ... :)
Beautiful photos
by Mehrban on Wed Aug 10, 2011 03:27 PM PDTThanks for sharing. Monda jaan, in my book you have one of the best and in tact Havaas around. Happy travels!
Thank you Afshin

Nice pictures, though if I
by afshin on Wed Aug 10, 2011 10:48 AM PDTNice pictures, though if I may, I would suggest taking it easy on the color saturation. Cheers
Thank you for comments!
by Monda on Wed Aug 10, 2011 01:39 PM PDTPrincess aziz, thank you for your encouraging words! Actually I find my favorite shots among the ones with my old non-digital camera (which my daughter gracefully owns now : ) Saturation grabs more attention (for IC and FB), but really not necessary. The vantage points had to do with where I felt safe in high altitude and serious rain, or on the way to discovering intriguing gems, impatient to jump in the ocean on hot days... (Aziz, Stay Safe in the chaos around you!)
Bahram jaan! I didn't completely rely on your info, that's why I decided to use the transitional season rather than dry or green. I just watched your your tube clip and enjoyed it again. But you know what? I'd much rather take the buses than drive on those lanes -You had courage bro! Now please start working on my next spot to visit, mersi.
Vildemose jaan, Sense of wonder has always been there. Only during and for awhile after fulfilling certain obligations (marriage, children, work...), time is a major issue. So you can say, having modified my views of "duties and obligations" - Time is on my side now, totally. Glad you liked these : )
Absolutely breathtaking. I
by vildemose on Wed Aug 10, 2011 08:36 AM PDTAbsolutely breathtaking. I did not know you were a professional photographer. Your new-found sense of wonder (i.e, the invogorated you) leaps out of your photos. Thank you so much for sharing. Looke forward to see more.
Great pictures !

Sorry I forgot to mention the rainy season ends in November lol.
Amazing!!
by Princess on Wed Aug 10, 2011 03:47 AM PDTThese are beautiful photos Monda, jaan. The place itself is no doubt lovely, but I particularly like you unusual vantage points for your shots, and of course the sturated colours. Khaanoum, ye paa honarmandi maa nemidounestim. ;) Thanks for sharing.

Pura Vida, to a certain extent
by Monda on Tue Aug 09, 2011 09:17 PM PDTI'm glad you have enjoyed some of my memories. Thank you for your comments.
Dear JJ, the natural beauty is certainly richer than what is covered in my photographs. Don't wait, should go check it out. Before or after Easter Island.
RedWine aziz, (Sorry for responding in English. I'm on a shared laptop which does not take Behnevis). I share your view on their economic status. Variety of ways in which the area has been abused by foreign corporations is very noticable. I came across many abandoned farm lands and homes, as frequently as I saw underprivileged conditions in the good people (promoting crimes). Some of the suburbs have turned into nice vacation or retirement homes, mostly for the Canadian and American expats. However, the latest statistic shows about 75% of the expats return to their countries of origine, within the first year... what seems as the wonderful Tico culture is somewhat limited to the tourist and limiting in the long run.
Bajenagh Naghi, I hope you do visit Central America. Especially if you enjoy zip-lining the rain forests, hiking and swimming as much as I did. Or just hanging out with the monkeys and sloths, aside the beautiful people.
Faramarz, being in and exploring a remote part of the world even for a month, is working at living, aka being Alive. Without restoring my own sanity, no task can be accomplished as clearly as I'd like it. Do look for more photos of new places, as I'm setting interviews while seeing other places.
Maziar58, You'd enjoy a longer life if you traveled more often. Have a great trip!
"Pura Vida"
by Ayatoilet on Tue Aug 09, 2011 07:25 PM PDTPura Vida, in Costa Rica the most beautiful greeting and farewell is commonly used. Pura Vida more or less can be translated to pure life or live purely. The people are the gentlest, most relaxed and most hospitable people on earth. They do not have an army and spend most of their efforts to preserve the natural beauty of the land. Pura Vida
