what is in it?
by Atefeh on Mon Dec 13, 2010 08:57 PM PSTNo one thing. A work of art speaks to each of us using our alphabet in art language. Knowing the "thing" will demystify the piece and therefore we will feel less or no enjoyement at all.
Just enjoy it

And more questions
by Saeed Barzin on Sat Dec 11, 2010 04:05 PM PSTWhat is this beautiful thing coming from the artist's mind that is so appealing to our common experience? What is it?
Noticed more of Mani's have been added
by Monda on Sat Dec 11, 2010 02:13 PM PSTI loved them ALL. (I no longer have the few favorites that I mentioned in my first comment). I found all the new ones Very visually satisfying. I hope to catch your exhibit in SF one day.
SHOULD .......
by Atefeh on Sat Dec 11, 2010 06:04 AM PSTI feel Mani has actually found his own language, however I hope the question of should or shouldn't does not limit his future paintings.
Artists and limits do not mix

Absolutely gorgeous
by Shazde Asdola Mirza on Fri Dec 10, 2010 06:09 PM PSTIn the age of color, digital and instant photography, weaving colors is all that painting can still do best - and do like no camera can, because mind has no visual limits.

by Ari Siletz on Fri Dec 10, 2010 05:50 PM PSTA painter who wishes to emphasize an Iranian identity should work to make his/her cultural heritage part of the universal language of the time. Yours is an impressive labor, by the way.

Nice work
by Mehrban on Fri Dec 10, 2010 08:21 AM PSTI can see re-interpretation of other modern/contemporary painters. Names like Dubuffet, Pollock, Rothko, Bracque come to mind by some of your paintings, I can even see some of Haring. There are interesting ideas going on in your paintings, I am curious about the actual sizes of them.
Wonderful weaving of many things
by Monda on Fri Dec 10, 2010 07:09 AM PSTEnjoyed your work very much. Thank you for sharing. My favorites are 1, 3, 10, 12, 15 and 20
