Souri Khanom, you are welcome!
by alborz on Wed Jan 26, 2011 08:16 AM PSTI agree that Armin Khameh's presence was essential to this discussion. His critique gave more color to the comments that others made and caused the viewer to gain a better understanding of was being said.
I was very impressed with the guests of this program and imagined what Iran would turn into as more of their generation got exposed to the outside world. Just imagine the possibilites.

I agree Princess...
by alborz on Wed Jan 26, 2011 08:01 AM PST... that different generations may not only respond differently but also express themselves with differently.
I thought about this as I watched this program and realized that if the interview were to occur at this time, my responses would not have the relevance that theirs has, simply due to the passage of time and the fact that I have not lived in post-revolution Iran. They are able to compare and contrast realistically and with very little nostalgia. There was no sense of longing or loss in them as what they know is still there and they can return to it - which interestingly none of them considered as a realistic possibility. Their lives seemed entirely purposeful and this is something that I have noted in many of the youth that had entered the University in Iran and then emigrated - they are sharp and determined and will ultimately become assets to their host countries. They represent the real brain drain of Iran.
I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Excellent video
by Souri on Wed Jan 26, 2011 06:56 AM PSTThis is very great to know the reality of the the young Iranians life in exile and their struggling to survive.
I am more inclined to approve Armin Khameh's views, however. I find him very intelligent and very objective. Everything he says is in fact, very deeply searched and thoughts. I don't think he was off-track, what he says was indeed very much needed to understand the whole subject and the root of the facts and the synergy between them.
I'm very grateful to you for having shared this video.
Very interesting discussion
by Princess on Wed Jan 26, 2011 06:47 AM PSTThank you very much for sharing this, Alborz.
I found this discussion very enlightening. They raised many interesting points. I think it would be useful to have these sorts of discussions more often and with different generation hyphenated Iranians.
