Shirin Ebadi’s response to the claim that her daughter has become a Baha’i just goes to show how such a claim has created a far more dangerous siutation for her than any other activity for which she was recognized with the Nobel Prize.
In refuting the claim, she has publicly characterized it as an affront to her and her family's integrity as "devout Shiites", and has chosen to defend herself by suing IRNA for “spreading lies and insults”.

As always, a good defense is a good offense, and in this case, if it comes at the expense of the Baha'is, so be it. Not only can they not sue anyone, but being insulted by their attorney is the least of their worries!
