Religion is Fire

Fire, arguably, is important to life after air, water, and food. Fire, broadly defined, is energy. And energy runs the world. It fuels the body, operates the mind, heats homes, and runs endless machines and instruments.

When energy is put to good use, it is the boon of mankind. And when it is misused or abused it is the bane of humanity. Therefore, credit or blame rests with the user of energy.

Religion is a special case of energy in the same way that steam is a derivation of fire. Steam engines move mass in physical space. Religion, emotional energy, propels people’s mind in the metaphysical realm.

Civilized societies have rules and regulations, albeit many of them flawed and imperfect, which regulate energy use. The fire of religion must also be contained in such a manner to do whatever good it may be able to do and prevent it from becoming a consuming wildfire.

There are those who have no use for religion. These people have perhaps seen so much burning and scorching by religion that they have abandoned it or have even taken active positions fighting it.

There are also those who don’t seem to be able to make do without a religion of some sort, preferably a “divine” religion. These people value the warmth that the religious fire gives them, the assurance it provides that the cold earth is not their end, and the promise that there is an eternal life of bliss after death. It is only fair that the “fire” that keeps the religionist warm not set ablaze the home of the non-religious.

Some questions for religionists:

* A belief qualifies as “divine” religion because someone claims it is?

* A belief becomes religion because millions believe in it?

* Should religion and state interlace? Which religion? The religion of the majority in any given country?

* Should being a religionist confer the person preferential status over the non-religious?

* Should religionists have complete freedom to practice their belief, even when they infringe on the rights of others?

* Should religionists have the right to vilify as heathen the people of other persuasions and those of no religious belief?

* Should religionists have the right to force their belief on others?

* Should religionists actively engage in the subjugation or elimination of the non-religious?

In civilized societies, it is granted that what is good for one person must also be good for the next. This is egalitarianism. Egalitarianism levels the playing field, where every human being must abide by the same rules of fair play. No one has a claim to special privileges for himself and his group.

With respect to religion, it matters not that someone claims that he is the emissary of the Creator; that he is bringing binding teachings from the Lord. There is no objective way of ascertaining the truth or falsehood of the claim. The claimant may be a charlatan, mentally disturbed, or indeed an emissary of the divine. What really matters is that the claimant and his claim serve the cause of the good for all of mankind and completely shun causing contention and strife among people.

The moment a religious founder begins claiming special privileges for himself and his followers, he launches a discriminating totalitarianism. This is indeed the case with Islam. Even a cursory glance at Islam’s past, as well as its present, establishes unequivocally its discriminating totalitarianism nature.

Islam is out of control fire and the jihadists are its arsonists. The generality of Muslims do their part by spreading throughout the world and setting up the conditions that would welcome the arsonists, feed and shelter them, and support them in igniting the Islamic fire.

This is exactly what is happening all over Europe where the naïve natives have deluded themselves into the fraud of multiculturalism. A generous social entitlement system in Europe, well-paying job opportunities, and higher standards of living are magnets to the horde of Muslims fleeing Islamic failed states. Ironically, these same Muslim expatriates quickly forget why they had to leave their miserable plights in their homelands and what the main cause of their misery is. The culprit is the pathological nihilistic belief of never-mind-this-world and do Allah’s biding for gaining admission to his unimaginably magnificent pleasure paradise of the afterlife.

Islam believes in the rule of Islam, Caliphate to the Sunnis and Imamate to the Shias. Hence, to Muslims, all other forms of governments represent the handiwork of the Satan and the infidels. Therefore, one and all non-Islamic systems of government must be purified by the Islamic fire.

But marrying religion with government is stoking fire with explosive. In free democracies, governments are accountable to the people and serve at people’s pleasure. In Islamic theocracy, governments are accountable only to Allah and the people must serve at the pleasure of the government. And one can see the result of Islamic total or partial rule in eighteen or so countries which rank among the highest nations of the world on every index of misery.

The Islamic fire fueled by immense oil income is raging in certain regions of the world, smoldering in others, and ready to ignite in yet other parts of the world. It is imperative for the free people of the world to abandon all illusions about Islam and put out its fire, once and for all. Multiculturalism, let-and-let live, is a delusion of kind-hearted naïve people. Islam, as fractured as it is, is a non-compromising mono-culture: a cruel culture of a primitive people handed down to Muhammad some 1400 years ago.

Secularists and most non-Muslim religious people respect the legitimate rights of the religionists, whereas Muslims recognize little or no rights for others. You can readily establish the validity of this assertion by looking at some eighteen or so Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and so on.

Warning to free men and women: remain a spectator at your own peril. It is imperative that you take a stand and do your part at falsifying the fraud of Islam and do all you can to prevent the Islamic fire from devouring our civilized democratic secular system.

I will take you on for beer any time.  It would amount to no less than absolute existence re-incarnated, if someday we could have such discussions over beer, in Iran.  I dream of it.

Anonymous4now, Knowledge is

by Theosopher (not verified) on

Anonymous4now,
Knowledge is either absolute or relative. Absolute knowledge pertains to Absolute Existence, or to human souls living in New Phase. By New Phase I mean the 'new state of mind'. This is a state of mind, beyond our earthly imagination, where the human soul can perceive all truths and realities close to the Absolute level associated with Existence itself. This is what we can only 'be aware of' but in our earthly lives we can never 'reach' that state of mind, just because in the New Program of Creation, we are undergoing a purgatory level of Existence in which there is no need for 'that level' of absolute or high knowledge. All that is needed for this earthly life is the present 'limited' level of understanding which we are currently (since the dawn of man) undergoing.
*
I, you and all other living humans are in the same level of understanding, in the sense that our general epistemological capabilities are 'limited' to a certain range of understanding called the 'Old Phase'. We do not have knowledge of the future, nor do we know that in the present time, what is happening let say in another city or country. The framework of our understanding is severely limited even though we might have scanty variations in terms of smartness or education. Nevertheless, we are all situated in the 'same limited range' of knowledge and understanding.
*
You state: " Since all of our attempts to understand the form of this intelligence have failed, it would be logical to conclude that our tools are inadequate for modeling and understanding the intelligence behind this universe. "
You are right in a sense: our knowledge, being in the 'Old Phase' or the 'limited state of understanding' is absolutely inadequate for modeling and understanding not only infinite intelligence but our own situation in the universe. Not only are we'limited by the Old Phase of knowledge 'imposed' by the New Program of Creation, but we are being deliberately inculcated with distorted notions and ideas all emanating from Existence itself under the New Program of Creation. The distortions are purposefully designed and fabricated by Existence for its specific purposes according to the New Program, however, each and every idea, be it scientific or philosophic or religious contains 'part and parcels' of the ultimate truth, beyond our reach, and this is important to remember.
*
The ideas that I am talking about is within the same circle: it might have 'distortions' as well as some 'correct' aspects of the ultimate truth. It could reflect some true ideas about Existence but it does it 'as the New Program wants', it does it in a'distorted and limited' way. I perfectly admit that. I admit that my ideas, like any others' reflect truth in a limited and distorted way, but 'how much' of the truth it contains, that is subject to discussion. We can not determine that because again all our judgements and reasoning and evaluations are 'determined' by Existence under its undergoing New Program. So in a way we are caught in a circular maze with no exit. We are located, existentially speaking, in the Minotaur's labyrinth, with no Daedalus helping us out.
*
Now let us have a look at the 'circular' issue. You want to say this I guess: "You admit our earthly knowledge is limited then what are you talking about? " Right?
My reply is: "Yes, I admit not only that our earthly knowledge is limited but that it is 'distorted'. It can not totally reflect the ultimate truth." But distorted does not mean 'totally wrong'. Distorted means 'not complete', 'partially wrong, hence patially right'. So there might be some truth in it. How much? That is something we can not agree upon.

Theosopher

by Anonymous4now on

There are two aspects to the reality of this life, as far as our intelligence can assist us in understanding.  There is the material world which science tries to explain and then there is the spiritual realm for which we have an innate desire for understanding, since our material understanding does not satisfy our spiritual needs.  We are either conceited enough to believe that our intelligence, and our consciousness encompasses all that is in this nature or that they form only a fragment of the true intelligence in the universe.  Since we “inherited” our intelligence from this intelligence in the universe, then at best we can only parallel its capabilities or be a replica of it and not surpass it.  Since all of our attempts to understand the form of this intelligence have failed, it would be logical to conclude that our tools are inadequate for modeling and understanding the intelligence behind this universe.  Utilizing our limited logic to explain things is futile and delusional at best.  Your idea of logic limiting possibilities is just that; The inadequacy of our intelligence to model this life, death and all that.  Once you allow the possibilities to be limited then you have entered the realm of human intelligence and are far away from the realm of universal intelligence, if there is such a thing.   Our intelligence tells us there should be one, but our intelligence is limited. Is this circular enough for you?

Make sense please!

by Theosopher (not verified) on

"This guy argues that logic limits possibilities. What he doesn’t realize is that his limited logic is born of this nature and can never surpass it. At the very best it can approach that innate intelligence in nature. More realistic and judging from thousands of years of failed attempts to understand it, our intelligence is no where near the grand intelligence in the universe. So if this logic is limited, it does not follow that the grand intelligence in nature will be limited by the possibilities this lame logic presents. Any attempt to interpolate and extrapolate based on this logic is more delusional than anything else. The desire is there but the ability is missing."
*
Anonymous4now, you seem to be the only person in this thread to have something to say (besides insults), however, I have difficulty in 'understanding' you. The above quotation is made by you. Except for the first sentence, the rest do not make 'sense'. I am sure you had something in your mind but you could not express it clearly. You have to be able to convey your 'meaning' to 'others' in an intelligible way, dear. Otherwise, it won't make sense! I am willing to comment on the above quotation once you make it a little more comprehensible. Try it!
Thank you.

I agree

by Anonymous4now on

I agree with you Salar, that if a billion people were talking like him it wouldn't be funny but rather scary, as the present situation is.  That's why I don't like Zebel's suggestion to this guy to start a cult, because it could catch fire.

In Monty Python's “Life of Brian” there is a scene where Brian is being pursued by the Romans, so he jumps out of a window and, by accident, on a platform where philosophers philosophize.  He makes logical arguments to attract the attention of people so he has a cover from the pursuing Romans, but no one listens and he is completely ignored, until he sees the Romans give up and in mid sentence he jumps off the platform and runs away.  Crowds of people follow him, hungry to hear the rest of the argument and argue over what the rest of the idea may have been.  In their view, he becomes the appointed one.

This guy argues that logic limits possibilities. The desire is there but the ability is missing.  I had a discussion like this on another thread with someone who used the same logic (or lack there of) but with the lingo of Islam.  I have no problems with people wishing to have their personal beliefs as long as those beliefs are not violent and do not become predatory cults and tools of manipulation at the hands of the practitioners of such beliefs.

Give Theosopher a Big Bang break!!!

Hey guys, common, give this Theosopher a break. He is just putting a modern twist on the same BS you find in any religion, Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc. You can find the old version of this crap in Koran, Torah or any other religious book. He is just demonstrating the concept of BS-ness in any form of religion you can think of, old and new.

I actually quite like this. This is an excellent demonstration of how bunch of nonsense put together well enough could amount to something seemingly credible and plausible. No meaningful content or logic is required. It goes well beyond “safsateh” and manipulation of fancy words. It is like divine and religious. It is like Mesbah Yazdi talking about Imam Mahdi and his zohoor or Akhoond Hasani talking about modern science and internet.

You laugh at it here but what about 1 billion who believe in the old version of this nonsense called Islam.

"Existence did not want them to do what they did and create Evil. The human souls were all equally good and the concept of Evil did 'not exist'. It 'could' not exist. Pure Existence is Absolute good. There can not be any negativity in pure goodness. But the conscious souls created in the pre-material phase of Existence were all created in an exalted stage of Being and they all possessed consciousness and 'intentionality'. They could intend and desire this or that. Some souls unprecedently started/originated 'vicious intentions' which led to their own corruption and the pollution of Existence. The virus of Evil thus started and infected many other conscious souls in the core of Existence. Many souls, however, were 'not' infected. They resisted.
*
Existence immediately launched the anti-virus New Program to counteract the Evil. But the Program can only be devised and launched according and within the limits of 'possiblities' defined above. It can not do magic. If it could it would."

1-'Before Big Bang' is not a

by Theosopher (not verified) on

1-'Before Big Bang' is not a statement referring to 'time'. Before Big Bang means before the start of the creation of the Cosmos, i.e. the 'material' realm of existence, the 'universe' as we can observe. The Cosmos started with an event known as the Big Bang some 14 billion years ago. 'Before' that there was no 'time'. Time is the product of 'movement'.
*
Movement or change happens when a material or materially-dependent entity takes a new 'form'. More precisely it is when an entity exits from its 'actual' formal state of being and enters a new form of actuality. The entity exits from its potentiality to enter a new actuality. Like the egg or the fetus in the egg transforming from its actual state of being (a fetus) into its potential state of being a chicken. Once a chicken it is an actual young chicken with the potentiality of becoming an old chicken.
*
Hence, back to our original statement: 'Before Big Bang' is not a statement referring to 'time'. It does not refer to a certain 'time' since before Big Bang there was 'no' time.
Time is the product of movement or change, the constant exit from potentiality and entrance into actuality in the realm of matter, the material world.
*
Time is the product of 'change' and change is equivalent to 'matter'. Matters, be it electron, atom, quartz or more infinitesimal entities are forms of alterable limited beings subject to alteration and decay. Before Big Bang there was no matter hence 'no time'. Time starts with matter and change and they are all, in a sense, 'equivalent' and intertwined.
*
Before Big Bang there was no matter but there was 'Existence'. Existence, in its pure form, is 'immaterial' infinite being. It must be so since matter is by definition 'limited'. Any material object is limited to 3 dimensions of height, length and width, plus the 4th dimension of time. Existence per se is by definition 'unlimited', infinite, hence immaterial. Unlimited can not be limited hence Existence in its pure form is immaterial.
*
2- 'Software' is an analogy, it is not quite like a computer, but the similarities are significant. Computers are analogous to Existence. There is a 'hardware': the Cosmos and material entities and the 'software': the program or the infinite intelligent design with a definite purpose being gradually realized in Cosmos. More fundamentally, the Program 'is realizing' Cosmos and all its inhabitants exactly 'as designed' in different stages for a specific goal or goals.

The Manager and The Director

by Theosopher (not verified) on

The Manager and The Director are one. Existence per se is the Manager, and the Director. It is One person. One infinite intelligence.
"Who limited the possibilities?"
Possibilites are limited by 'inherent laws of logic' and actual scientific rules. Existence, both in its spiritual and material realm is governed by 'laws'. These laws are inherent in Existence. The rules of logic are immutable and inherent in the core of infinite Existence. 2 plus 2 equals 4 and this is an inherent rule (among many others) in the logic core of Existence itself. Even God can not make it 5 and this is not a deficiency for God.
*
Infinite means 'without boundary', yet the concept of 'infinite if possible' is latent in the definition.
Thus infinite means 'infinite in the realm of possibilites'. Infinite intelligence can do whatever is logically possible to perform. It can not do whatever is 'not' possible. This is 'not' a deficiency for Existence. If we say 'Infinite Power' can not do certain things, it is not a deficiency for that power since doing that would be a 'logical impossibility'. Not being able to do inherently impossible acts is not considered a 'defect' for infinite power.
*
Existence did not want them to do what they did and create Evil. Existence immediately launched the anti-virus New Program to counteract the Evil. But the Program can only be devised and launched according and within the limits of 'possiblities' defined above. It can not do magic. If it could it would.

This is called Safsateh.

by Anonymous4now on

This is called Safsateh.  Are you a bacheh akhoond who has picked up programming lingo?

There was and is a Project Manager. Existence 'is' infinite intelligence. The Project Mnager 'is' infinite power and intellingence, however, its 'power' is limited to 'possibilities'  Who limited the possibilities?  The Director of the program, the CEO?  Then the manager is not that supreme, is he?  If the possibilities are limited and there is nothing this “infinite intelligence” and “infinite power” can do about it then they are not infinite are they?  They are as limited as those possibilities.

The project manager did not screw up. 'Evil' was 'unprecedented'. There was no evil in Existence. There can not be negativity in pure good. 'Evil' was unexpectedly created/originated by some or many intelligent 'souls'. But he let a bunch of hacks ruin his program that is going to take him through eternity to fix?  Hum.  Some manager!  So much for “infinite intelligence” and “infinite power”!

Take some advice from Clinton.   Smoke but don’t inhale!

There was and is a Project Manager. Existence 'is' infinite intelligence. The Project Mnager 'is' infinite power and intellingence, however, its 'power' is limited to 'possibilities', that is, he can do whatever is actually or theoretically 'possible'. Existence can not make 2+2=5.
*
The project manager did not screw up. 'Evil' was 'unprecedented'. There was no evil in Existence. There can not be negativity in pure good. 'Evil' was unexpectedly created/originated by some or many intelligent 'souls'.
*
You can not fire the Manager! After the unexpected creation of 'Evil' by some or many intelligent souls the virus started and the whole software (spiritual domain and laws) of existence was corrupted. The Manager could not do magic. If he could, he would. His infinite power is limited to the realm of 'possibilities'.
*
What he could do and did was to devise the New Program of Creation to purge existence of evil. That would take a 'long' time. 'I', a humble human as you, do not know how long that would take.
*
No one can inform others to 'purge immediately and start fresth with a new version'.
This is nonsense! We have no choice but to follow the New Program's events. Every event and idea and intention is perfectly programmed and executed by the New Program of Creation. There is no escape from it.

“A tragedy(fundamental disaster) occured in the 'pre-material phase' of Existence, before the Big Bang and the creation of Cosmos. This spiritual tragedy emanated Evil and 'temporarily' damaged the 'software' of Existence.
Had it not been for this tragedy, Existence would have proceeded with its genuine, pure and perfect Original Program.”
A tragedy happened on its own with no project manager?  Then, either there is no project manger to believe in, or the project manager screwed up and should have been fired right after the “spiritual Tragedy” fuck up and a new manager hired to abandon the virus infected S/W and start fresh with new ideas.  The old manager could never be trusted again because he would be trying to justify his mistakes and if necessary lie to save his own ass. After the purge is over the Existence would resume its pure unfolding process under the -resurrected- Original Program. “  If you have come to realize that a purge will fix your problem then you should, do it right away and it is your duty, under you new management,  to inform all those who are using this corrupted software to purge immediately and start fresh with a new version.  “All these ideas emanate from and are fabricated by Existence 'itself' under its New -purgatory- Program. These creeds contain valuable points or hints toward eternal truth -which is beyond our direct comprehension- but all of them are in some crucial ways distorted and none of them purely reflects truth as it is.” You are right.  They only represent the logic of the individual programmer on the project trying to fix this bug, at the time, and have no significance over the entire program that must be written by all existence, in time and space.  You have to fix the paradox of the missing or the imbecile manager, because if you claim there are any valuable hints and points in the creeds, then there is no Manager but one Manager and Steve is his best and last perfect programmer amounts to nothing but none sense.

Myth #1

by Anonymous4now on

The biggest myth about the fall of the Persian empire, at the hands of the Arabs, and accepted by many Iranians, is that Iranians did not resist the Arab invasion of Iran because they were tired of their depleted religion of Zoroastrianism and accepted Islam with open arms.

Mary Boyce, in “Zorostrianism, Its Antiquity and Constant Vigor”, writes:   In 651, nearly 15 years after the first major Arab victory, an Arab army appearing in Seistan for the first time, fought a fierce battle against Iranians in which more Arabs fell than Iranians.  Negotiations led to an agreement in which freedom of worship was guaranteed in return for tributes paid out twice, yearly.   In other places, many sacred fires were extinguished and Arabs harassed Zoroastrians out of religious zeal.  Fierce proselytizing is well documented for the north-east, where in the late Seventh century the Arab armies were commanded by the devout but ruthless Qutaiba. The local history of Bukhara records how he established Islam among its Citizens, with much difficulty.  He…made (their own religion) difficult for them in every way … He imposed the religious laws (of Islam) on them.  He built mosques and eradicated traces of unbelief and the precepts of the fire worshipers.   The poor were bribed to attend Friday prayer and Moslems were put into Zoroastrian homes to keep a constant surveillance on them.  The well to do who lived outside of the city walls were subjected to mob intimidations.   “Yet some Iranians still write of the collapse of Zoroastrianism at the coming of Islam, with all sorts of reasons suggested for it.  In fact the Iranian religion never collapsed, but survives to this day through the courage and tenacity of generations of its adherents.”

Sir Percy Sykes, in “History of Iran” writes:

It is clear that in the tenth century AD the population of Zoroastrians in Fars was in the majority and in the central regions of Khorasan there were large numbers of people of the Zoroastrian faith.  From my own (Sir Percy Sykes) research and findings the villagers of the regions of the northwest had not yet converted to Islam, till the 19th century AD.

Despite the fact that Iran had lost its independence, Iranian talent and intelligence helped them gain superiority over the Arabs and after a few centuries drove the Arabs, who were completely under the influence of the Iranians in the Sciences and literature, back into the desert lands of Arabia.  But on the other hand the ugliness of the acquired traits and the humiliation Iranians had gone through left an impression that remained for generations, after.

Shojaedin Shafa, in “Pas az hezaro chaharsad saal”, writes:

Abdollah Ibn Aamer was frustrated with the resistance he faced in Estakht, Faars, and so he swore he would kill many to punish them.  The number of killed in Estakhr are reported in Tarikheh Tabari to be in excess of 40,000.  Ali Ibn Abitalb told the people of Kufa that this victory had reduced the Ajam and put them in their place.

In Kharazm, Yazid Ibn Mohleb ordered the prisoners to be left naked in the cold to die, and in Tabarestan the prisoners were hanged over a distance of 2 farsakh.  During Osman’s Khelafat, Tabarestan had been savagely attacked under the leadership of Said ibn Aas, with Hassan and Hossein, the sons of Ali, as his commanders.   In the year 90 after Hejrat, the son of Ghatibeh, hanged several thousand people in taleghan who had revolted against the Arabs.  In the fight against Gorgan, the bravery of Iranians scared Sa’ad Ibn vaghas into giving prayers (namaz), who in the end promised immunity if they gave up.  The 80,000 Army of Arabs killed everyone in site.  Yazid Ibn Mohleb wanted to eat bread from wheat milled by the blood of the Iranians killed.  But this proved impossible since blood clots.  They had to pour warm water over the blood to make it runny enough to turn the mill.  In Sarakhs everyone, except for 100 people, were killed.

Many of the cities that fell the first time around rebelled multiple times against the Arab armies.

The names of the cities that revolted against Arab occupation, between 2 to 5 times, are as follows:

Bokhaaraa, Samarghand, Kharazm, Soghd, Faryaab, Sarakhs, Marv, Kash, bikand, neishabour, toos, Gorgaan, Rey, Hamadaan, Ghazvin, Dinvar, Ghom, sirvaan, Halvaan (Ghasreh  Shirin), Esfehaan, Shooshtar, Estakhr, Daaraabgard, Shaapoor   in addition to the ostaans of Tabarestaan, Faars, Geelaan, deylamestaan, Aazarbeyjaan, Kermaan, and sistaan that witnessed rebellion against the Arabs, have been documented in these books:  Taarikheh Tabari, Kaameleh Ibn Asier, Taarikheh Ya’ghoobi, Fotoohol Baldaan, Majma’ol Tavaarikh, Mokhtaserol Beldaan, Taarikheh Bokhaaraa, Faarsnaameh.    E. Herzfield, German archeologist, has been quoted by Shojaedin Shafa to have listed and identified the geographical locations of 100 cities in Iran at the time of the sassanids.  83 of the cities witnessed ruthless massacres and unabashed looting.   Abdol Hossein Zarrinkoob, in “Taarikheh Iran Ba’ad az eslaam”, wirtes:

During Osman and Ali’s reign as Khalifs despite, altogether, 17 years of turmoil, the advancement of Islam in Iran did not stop.  Especially till the year 31 after Hejrat, when Yazdgerd was still alive....... After his death, also, in all Iraninan cities, when ever there was a chance rebellion and resistance continued.  In any case, the advancement of the Arabs in Iran was slow and repeated rebellions were an impediment to this advancement.

...After Yazdgerd’s death, there was no real hope left and the local resistance movements were isolated and decapitated movements.  Despite that, the victory over Iran, in contrast to the description given by Seyf Ibneh Omar, did not end during Omar’s reign and continued till the beginning of the Omavian dynasty.    In the beginning of Osmaan’s reign, when Sa’ad Ibn Vaghaas was the Amir of  Kufeh, there were rebellions in Hamedaan and Rey against the Arabs.  Sa’ad left Hamedan in the hands of Alaa Ibn Vahab who enforced Islamic tax (Jazieh) again.  But the relative quiet he gained in Rey did not last long and the people of Rey repeatedly rebelled, and the Arab armies repeatedly attacked the city.

In all the initial subjugation of Iranians took close to 30 years and the resistance movements continued for 200 years until the Arabs were driven out of Iran.  Read about all the Iranian heroes, who won the independence of Iran back, in a book by Abdol Rafi’ Haghighat, “Gharemaanaaneh Mellieh Iran”.

The resistance against the doctrine of Islam continued in literature and there is a thousand year history of it.  Shojaedin Shafa, lists the poets and their poems chronologically, in his book “Dar Paykaar baa ahriman”.

Hossein Heykal, a great Egyptian thinker, was asked why did Egypt, a country with so much history and so much culture, become an Arab speaking nation?  He responded by saying “we did not have a Ferdowsi”.

The IRI is still fighting the Iranian traditions of Noruz, chaharshanbeh suri and sizdah bedar.  Don’t you believe for a minute that our ancestors accepted Islam as Mottahari said “like delicious food that is fed to someone hungry or a refreshing drink poured into the throat of a thirsty person.  Learn the real story behind the indoctrination of Iranians, their resistance and the price they paid, all in the name of Islam.

Quote from your comment: "A tragedy occured in the pre-material phase of Existence, before the Big Bang and the creation of Cosmos. This spiritual tragedy emanated Evil and temporarily damaged the software of Existence...."

Yeah right! O' self proclaimed prophet, were you there watching the big bang during the "creation of cosmos"?? You first class "chaakhaan", you talk about creation with such audacity that even the false prophets of the past wouldn't dare do.

Go get a life, will you?

Great observation. Your comment is one of the most sane ones I read on this site for a long time. So true yet sad. We Iranians are going thru a cultural transformation and the process of shedding this disease called Islam. It is going to take time and surely it won’t be easy but thanks to Islamo-fascist regime of velayat faghieh it is happening at a rapid pace and within a decade or so Islam and religion will be fully eradicated from our society and culture. That’s why I say vote Ahmadinejad and fundamentalists. let IRI and religious thugs continue this wonderful eradication of Islam from our society. Just imagine within 10 or 20 years, Iranians will be truly free, not just their political system but their minds, free from Islam and religion at last. Only the brutality and inhumanity of a religious government can get us there much like what happened in Europe a few centuries ago. It needs to run its course, just how many kids do you know with completely religious parents to the point of being fanatics that not only don’t believe anymore but actively encourage others to do the same even their parents? I know plenty. Imagine if that has happened just within one generation of the revolution, what the next generation will be like. We have nobody but IRI to thank.

The naivness of being "good"!

by ZebelTheRebel (not verified) on

I repeat:

"How much mileage you can get out of “Good thoughts, good deeds, good words”? They should have realized by now that “good” is not good enough!!

Could Amil use his "golden rules" of Zardosht and enlighten us if:

---Stem cell research is "good"?
---Gay marrige is "good"?
---Abortion is "good"?
---Obama is "good"?

Zartosht says be good, think good and act good but what the HELL IS THAT GOOD? Pat Robertson, Ben Laden, Olmert, Bush and Ahamadinejad and Putin all think they are good and doing good!!!

Get a hnadle. Wake up buddy! There is 4000 years of science and philosophy after Zartosht. Catch up!

We Iranians seem to deserve each other. First, the Islamists respond to Imani's blog with their arsenal of profanity about him and his mother and so forth. Vow! Then, there are those who keep bringing up the Zoroastrian faith and either reject it or bad-mouth it. I read Imani's blog and found nothing at all about the faith of Zoroaster.

My gues is that the word fire ignited the imagination of the people and got them on that track.

What is amazing is that just about all these people missed the point that Imani is using fire as a metaphor and I couldn't see anything about it involving Zoroasterianism.

Most shocking however is the way the Islamists respond to him. The Bible says that: by their fruit shall ye know them. These creatures are fruits of Muhammad's tree? How sad indeed. Has Muhammad's religion degraded to such a level that only the lowest forms of creatures come to its defense? What these Islamists do and say are the greatest confirmation of Imani's claims. Sad. Az mast ke bar mast.

Iran is a Muslim country. You and your foolhardy thoughts will never change Iran into a Zoroastrian country. Iranians rejected this faith over 1400 years ago. I am willing to except you as a patient. You need serious help. Islam is peace and love, but you and the likes of Kouroush Sassanian want to distort the truth about Islam.
