Opinion survey of the NIAC and its president Trita Parsi

Key Findings

The
Pro-Democracy Movement of Iran (PDMI) conducted an on-linei bilingual
(Farsi-English) survey of Iranians, Iranian- Americans and Americans in
order to gauge attitudes towards NIAC and its president Trita Parsi.
Respondents constituted a representative sample of 1,851 individuals
age 18 and older who had access to the Internet. The survey’s key
findings are that:

findings are that:
- A majority of respondents had known NIAC for 1 to 5 years
- 99% of respondents expressed NIAC did not represent their interests
- 99% of respondents believed NIAC was a lobbyist for the Islamic Republic
- 90% of respondents were aware of the defamation lawsuit against Hassan Dai
- 82% had read NIAC’s internal documents revealed as a result of the lawsuit
- 99% of respondents believed that NIAD has defrauded the federal government
- 99% of respondents believed that NIAC had lied to members of Congress about its membership numbers
- 88% of respondents were familiar with Bob Ney and his conviction
- 85% of respondents knew that Trita worked for Bob Ney
- 73% of respondents knew about Roy Coffee and David DiStefano
- 74% of respondents knew that NIAC worked with Roy Coffee to establish a lobby organization
- 82% of respondents said that they were never asked for their opinion by NIAC
- 1% of respondents believed that NIAC was a human rights organization and 99% believed that NIAC worked
as a Lobby for the Islamic Republic - A large majority of respondents wanted NIAC to disclose its financial documents, membership list and
numbers, and be held accountable for its actions - Such extent of negative attitude toward NIAC and its president is in some
measure due NIAC’s filing of lawsuit and release of its internal memos
and documents as a result of defamation lawsuit brought against Hassan
Dai. NIAC’s internal memos have given a lot of credibility to the claim
that NIAC is acting as a lobby for the Islamic Republic. Two other
publications have greatly damaged NIAC’s credibility amongst the
Iranian-American community: one is a paper published the Center for
Security Policy authored by Clare M. Lopez in 2009 named ―Rise of the
Iran Lobby‖. Another damaging article was published in the Washington
Times alleging that NIAC and Trita Parsi has operated as an undeclared
lobby and may be guilty of violating tax laws, the Foreign Agent
Registration Act and lobbying disclosure laws. - Trita Parsi has contributed greatly to the ill feeling and erosion of NIAC's
credibility amongst the Iranian-American community by his inconsistent
and inaccurate statements. Furthermore, NIAC’s internal memos showed
that it employed a policy of ―cease and desist‖ against any of its
opponents to intimidate them into silence. The extent of negative
opinion toward NIAC might also be related to the lack of transparency,
prevalent double speak and continuous ―shifting of gears‖ by Trita
Parsi, inconsistencies in NIAC’s words and actions, lack of regard for
Iranian opinions, NIAC’s denial of its relationship with top level
Iranian government and business officials. Detailed report here ...

Actually it is NIAC's rear end that needs to be saved not Mr. Dai's as soon as the case is settled, NIAC keeps posphoning it. Trita sued Mr. Hassan Dai to "cease and desist' anybody who spoke against NIAC and to intimidate and silence the opposition. This is well documented...no point to argue here...go read Trita's internal memos...so if you want to save anoyone's it is Trita's not Dai's. Washinton Times says that he (Trita) might have broken tax laws,. Foreign Agent Information Act and lobby rules.
Do not know about the 400 million, but I know Trita fought and prvented 75 million democracy fund from going to Iranian opposition groups. Also, Trita got in excess of $220,000 from the U.S. government (NED=Congresseional funding) ...get your facts straight...
Over 1850 had taken the survey and the number is growing daily...(survey is still active on my blog ...perhaps the largest of its kind open to public and not done behind the scenes.

I was not here to create a masterpiece...I was here to expose Trita's false claim of purporting himself as "Iranian_American" "my" representative.
A question for you though:
Hassan Dai claimed that Trita was a lobbyist. Houshang Amirahmadi agreed. Makhmalbaaf has agreed. NIAC's internal memos clearly show that to be the case...
On the otherhand,
Trita claimed that Hassan Dai was an MEK member, which Hassan Dai denies. Have you ever asked yourself why after three plus years of court battle, Trita has not been able to provide a single shred of evidence to prove his claim?
Think about it a bit before you answer. documents....

I have yet to see 50% of Iranians agree on anything. Not to endorse NIAC but 99%? When did Iranian agree on anything in these numbers. Just read IC to find out we don't agree on much of anything. We all could come up with some cooked up survey with any result we want. What a waste of time.

Just out of curiosity and to see the survey for myself

Since I have not known any thing about Mr. Irandoost work, affiliation, beliefs an alignment I thought to read some of his articles.
Here are quotes from Dr. Irandoost.

He is using Iranian-Americans as a tool and hides behind our name and reputation .... purporting to represent us, he will not have any clout in Washington DC. He abuses our name to futher his (IRI and big corporation who are salivating to do business with Iran) agenda.
That is an unfortunate fact. It's all about the mighty dollar. It's business not even politics...

No Dear I am not... and Trita is not my "Ammeh or uncle" to be more precise.
As a concerned Iranian-American, I just want to find out facts about Trita Parsi who seems to sell himself as our (Iranian-Americans) representative. I am an Iranian_American and do not want a "shaky" character such as NIAC, a non American-Iranian, to represent me without my permission. Just want to find out the facts ...actually you should be too!

First of all thank you for your interest...in a span of less than few hours (before Jahan Shah Javid -Trita Apologist) took it down twice,250 viewed the survey. Survey results are posted in the //www.newmediajournal.us/ scroll down to think Tanks.
This is is real online (live) survey and even those NIAC and IRI apologists can take part...as I said I intend to keep the survey online and active so we can get even more people to participate. I will take the survey down (before it is hacked by NIAC and IRI Cyber Army) when there is no notable activity. The survey was sent to Trita Parsi as well.
To those who think Tria is my "Ammeh=aunt." No dear, Trita is male not female, unless he had a sex operation to hide his true identity. I do not have any family relationship to Trita Prasi.
