The Pahlavis, all mullahs, and all public figures associated with the Green Movement must disclose the source and the amount of their wealth/income.

by Elham57 on Fri Mar 19, 2010 05:46 PM PDTThey can pronounce the name of our country any way they want. Honestly, as long as the world does not gang up against us, that's fine with me, and most of us, I am sure.
We both can love that land, but agree to disagree on Pahlavi dynesty.
Happy Noruz :-)
Happy new year
by benross on Fri Mar 19, 2010 05:27 PM PDTHe identifies himself as himself, as he always did. The most relevant message of this video is that he also identifies himself -finally!- as the heir of a dynasty.
I'm waiting for his call for an organized movement, as the legal crown prince of Iran, based on the only legitimate constitution of Iran. This organized movement will fight for a free referendum, to reset the nation's clock on modernity time zone, and subsequently to prepare an election for a constituent assembly for future of Iran. He has to force his opponents to organize themselves somewhere else, in another time zone and another rational... if they can and if it's not what is already there as IRI. They will soon find out that cheap shots and monarchy bashing can't be a proof of existence.
I don't think they matter anyway. But if Reza Pahlavi thinks they do, this is the best way to give them an opportunity to do something positive about whatever they think they should be doing.
Happy new year Crown Prince Reza. The beginning is still to come.
"We had the respect of the world."
by Peter Pan on Fri Mar 19, 2010 03:52 PM PDTThey respected us as much as not even bothering pronounce our
country's name correctly. Doesn't "eye-ran" ring a bell? The mutual
removal of the travel visa requirement was to "their" benefit first.
Now,
I shut the @#!$ up for your beauty only!
Happy Noe-Rooz
If you are anything like your father, or grandfather
by Elham57 on Fri Mar 19, 2010 03:20 PM PDTyou have my vote.
Your grandfather took a torn, backward country, and united it under one flag. A true revolutionary, and a visionary.
Your father spent 1/100 of what we later spent in war against Iraq, and spent it on military, keeping enemies out , sparing millions of lives, keeping Iran free, without going to war.
We had the respect of the world.
We may pick you as the King, or maybe we won't.
Either way, we owe much to your father, and your grandpa.
God bless them both.

In his majesty's case lets call it as it is? Opportunistic?

P/S I still insist that he is a lucky man for having such a beautiful children. Mrs Pahlavi on the other hand needs to go a bit easy on blond hair if she chooses to be representative of Iranian beauty. Not that she is not pretty but we do not see Mrs. Obama dying her hair blond do we?
I bet...
by alireza on Fri Mar 19, 2010 02:43 PM PDTI can't relate to this idea of judging people by what they wear to they show off of themselves that is particular to Iranians due to some past behaviour of the family!
people change, re-invent themselves and etc.
let me be clear, I am not monarchist or anything political and when revolution happened I was 4. however, this is what i think:
Reza Pahlavi, is an Iranian, firstly.
secondly he is an adult and is entitled to his opinion or photo op as you wrote!
His father was a dictator (let's assume that!) but then he was Reza's father as well, I think Reza Pahlavi is also entitled to put up his familiies photos wherever he wishes.
He give Iranian new year message, because he wishes so. you can do that as well. as many others do!or you can ignore it!
The last but not the least, the guy advocates free Iran, wether that is true or not, at least that is what he intend to do, and tries to do either in the wrong or correct way, he does it the way he believes it right!
So, i think we should respect him, even if we disagree with many things he does!
So, he supports currerent movement, perhaps that is something he wishes to do. none of our business. When it comes to chose a leader for Iran, don't go after him!:)
He is wearing green , he must be a Mousavi supporter or ...
by jasonrobardas on Fri Mar 19, 2010 12:07 PM PDTKarroubi supporter . Is he for the reform of the status quo ? may be not .
He could be Irish perhaps , celebrating Saint patrick's day . Looking more closely though , it seems like he is celebrating "Charshanbeh Suri" since there is a bon fire . But wait this may be a photo op telling us that he is the lover of Iran and Iranian traditions .
I am so confused . I can not figure this out . In his speech he wishes us freedom for the new year and democracy in the future , while he has a photo of a dictator right beside him . A dictator that people got rid of . Is that dictator his guru or his late dad ?
I am totaly confused . Why is he wearing his patriotism on his sleeve . Excuse me on his shirt!!!!( Cho iran nabashad ......) . Is he telling us that he can not live an instant without Iran ? Why does'nt he get a tattoo on his forehead saying " Damn it I wanna be the king "
Green T-Shirt?
by capt_ayhab on Fri Mar 19, 2010 07:22 AM PDTWhy is he wearing a Green T-Shirt?

P/S One thing that I can't but admire is that the gentleman certainly has a very beautiful family.
Please stop being critical! Learn to worship your king.
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Fri Mar 19, 2010 07:18 AM PDTStop being so picky. When we have a puppet, we need to adore him. Listen, Reza is not some gossip socialite figure. He is a serious, hard working, back breaking freedom fighter. He searched all over town for that suit, so please try to just say "it's not IRI, so it must be good! He said the right words, must be good!"
You should only say bad things about the regime in Iran. OK? Suspend all critical thinking now!
His speech is fine
by MRX1 on Fri Mar 19, 2010 06:11 AM PDTbut I wish people stop using this phony date 1389 for an event that least has ben several thousend years old and for a country with 2500+ years of continous civilization.
I like to see his wife jump over the fire
by jasonrobardas on Fri Mar 19, 2010 05:41 AM PDTin those high heel shoes she is wearing .
We need to re-establish the system of monarchy so we get to hear him every year .
Do you remember Hoveyda's speech for Norooz every year ? He did not even bother to prepare a decent speech . It was always the same crap ( Baradaran , Khaharan , Doostan va ham vatanane man . Norooz ra tabrik migooyam . Dar sali ke gozasht be movafaghiat haiee dast iafteem . Albateh hame va hame tahte rahbarie alahazrat shahanshah aryamehr. blah blah blah balah .....................................................................
Out dated crap from failed pahlavi..............
Leave him alone
by mehdi79 on Fri Mar 19, 2010 02:03 AM PDTCould you all anti-monarchists all i should say anti-pahlavis leave him alone. let him do his job and you guys do yours. in s free iran ppl will decide monarchy or republic
