One thing else about Newt

This guy's hypocrisy is beyond belief. In 1993 he was an advocate of doing away with the Constitution of the United States and and doing away with what is left of it. In fact America's illusion of America in claiming the master of the world at the cost of bankrupting itself is the resul of Newtism seeds that will have Nazism restored.

I agree, Romney is the most level headed one

I agree with that, even though I don't follow republicans' campaigns too closely. The closest I have ever followed a presidential campaign is the primary between Obama and Hillary Clinton.

It was/is always about Romney and another Republican.

Let's face it McCain should not have been the nominee and Romney should've taken on Obama in 2008.  McCain was never going to win, he couldn't win against W and he joined W when he was in the pits.  So what chance did he ever have?!  

Just about all of Republican nominees are jokes.  Romney is the most level headed one.  Newt is the "safe" bet for "conservatives".  If he becomes president "conservatives" can rest assured that he'd deliver them the farm like W did.  Just look how much money they made (stole from people's 401Ks and pensions) and then they got bailed out and people left out in the cold to have "Occupy" this and that!

Personally I think Ron Paul is their best candidate and his positions could strike a cord.  I would not be "scared" if Ron Paul becomes a president.  He can debate and is a "reasoned" provacteur.  He knows his freedom, libverty and constitution stuff.

ALL Republican candidates will be ridiculed like there is no tomorrow!

interesting quote. when herman cain was surging in the polls, several of my republican friends were quite excited about him. i don't see this at all with newt. i think it is because these friends remember newt from 1990s . esfand does not think so but my bet is on newt 's campaign imploding.

Now that Gingrich is leading the pack in the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, it’s probably worth revisiting some of the products of that supposedly impressive mind of his– like this, from last March:

A secular atheist country potentially dominated by radical Islamists? That’s what comes from stringing together insults and scare words without caring how (or if) they fit together– like “liberal Communists.”

A Gingrich aide later [said] that he was not talking about an unholy alliance of secular atheists and “radical Islamists,” saying “‘Or’ should have come before the word ‘potentially’.”

I think he may be Republicans nominee ala Bob Dole.

Every once in a while Republicans (or Democrats for that matter) find themselves in a presidential election where they are the under dogs.  Like Bob Dole vs Bill Clinton or McCain vs Obama.

I believe this is another case where many Republicans don't want to "risk" losing and waiting for a "better" chance to run for the nomination and becoming the next President.

Why was Sarah Palin so popular?  Because she was a provacatour!  She will always remind me of being an American female version of Ahmadinejad with her gradiose claims and just being in your face type of politician.

Newt is the same.  The average Republican member wants someone in the next election to be a provcatour (fashionable these days and especially among the Republicans and "tea" party) in your face kind of guy and among the Republican candidates Newt is that kind of guy.  Romney is flip flopping and they piled on John Kerry vs W for being a flip flopper so they're having a hard time voting for Romney.

Also, Newt is an old guard and they want to give him this last chance and a rope to hang himself, like they did with Bob Dole.

I wrote an article about Pitty Nominees back in 2008 and I think Newt is another "Pitty Nominee".

Newt is a joke of a candidate

 Some years ago, Newt was totally discredited and "abroosh raft". The fact that he is doing well now is indicative of the sorry state of the republicans. Just like Herman Cain was doing well before he suspended campaign, my predication is Newt will not be republican candidate for president.

He was asked if He would attack Iran?

His response: If I ever do it would be to CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT.
