Everyone knows that the Republican party has veered to the right. Paul Ryan afterall is a tea party darling. Here is a real photo from the Romney rally yesterday. The far right in the U.S. has now aligned itself with the Far right in Europe and Israel. Romney and Netenyahu are longtime buddies having worked together at the Boston Consulting Group for many years together. It will be war, hatred and racism for many years under the Republicans....again.

Jews and Israel
by jirandoust on Sun Oct 14, 2012 06:28 PM PDTAyatoilt: I applaude your valiant effort here trying to differentiate between Judaism and Israel. But you are pissing in the wind, my friend. The fact of the matter is that there is none! I know that because I grew up among Jews in Iran, and am somewhat familiar with theirway of thinking when it comes to Israel.
To the Jews, regardless of country of origin, Isreal is not just another country in Middle East, it is the "promised land". It is hope. It is confidence. It is aspiration and achievement. It is belief. It is the SAFE HOUSE in case another Hitler appears and tries to "exterminate" them. Israel means faith to the Jews around the world. Faith in themselves as a people. Why do you think Israel with a small military had a dcisive victory over it's Arab neighbors, mainly Syria, Jordan an Egypt, in the 6-day war of 1967? Don't tell me it was because of US' help. Yes I'm sure that had something to do with it, but the main reason was the FAITH Israelis had in their newly created country and the government system running it. Big difference between Israeli soldiers who fought for survival and Arabs who fought to "liberate" Palestine.
The point I'm trying to make is that you can not separate Jews from Israel and everything it encompasses, including the government running it, even if it is headed by a right wing war monger like Natenyahoo. Why? because for Jews in the grand scheme of things, Natenyahoo is a head of the government taht will be replaced soon by someone else. It is Israel and it's existence that is a high priority not the figure head at the top. Israel after all, is a democracy. In fact the only democracy in the Middle East with countless achievements in it's short 60-year history.
Having said that, I would also like to state my outmost opposition to any threat of war to Iran from any country, Israel included. Any conspiracy to "balconization" of Iran and support of the terrorist cult of MEK by US, Israel or any other country must be condemned. I strongly believe in alliance between Iran and Israel as they are both hated by Arabs equally. They could acheive heck of alot more as allies than enemies.
Peace and prosperity to both Iran and Israel!
Thanks for that quote ...
by ayatoilet1 on Sun Oct 14, 2012 11:55 AM PDTI had not heard that before. But I think there is some truth to it.
As for the Zionist thing, I can assure you that in the order of things, Anti-semitism predates the state of Israel. And this insistence of connecting anti-semitism to anti-Israel (or anti-Zionism) in my opinon is wrong. In one case it is a racial issue, in another case its about the actions of a government. I know that there are many folks in the Jewish community that have major issues with actions of the state of Israel and specifically Netenyahu. Netenyahu's party got elected with a minority of votes.
Having said all that, let me be clear. I honestly do believe that the Jewish community should and must have a place they can call home. But not by building walls, bombing innocent civilians and denying basic rights to others. There really is a two state solution out there that many on both sides can accept. But to not make a final peace - when the Oslo accords basically laid it all out; and then to drag the people of Iran (not the regime) into it with support for the MEK, Sepratists and threats of widescale bombing is wrong.
Covert racism vs Overt
by vildemose on Sun Oct 14, 2012 11:45 AM PDT""Lee Atwater famously said, “You start out in 1954 by saying, ‘Nigger, nigger, nigger.’ By 1968 you can't say ‘nigger’ — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is blacks get hurt worse than whites. […] You follow me ...""

I don't think you know or understand what Racism is...
by ayatoilet1 on Sun Oct 14, 2012 11:31 AM PDTRacism is what occured in South Africa - it was called Apartheid. Its what the state of Israel practices. It is what the Tea Party crowd would have here. It is what this guy with the shirt espouses.
Iranians have a long history of love and support for the Jewish community. Iranians love them and we will always protect them. It is the state of Israel, that many Iranians have concerns about. The two are distinct concepts. No one can or should condone the butchery in Gaza or eslewhere...like for example the butchery in Iraqi Kurdistan that the MKO was involved in and who Israel supports. And by the way, Israel supported the Apartheid regime in South Africa, even handed nuclear technology to them.
In fact there were many anti-apartheid leaders that were Jewish!! Please make sure you understand concepts before you go online. Racism is Racism wherever its practiced. Oh and by the way, have you ever had the priviledge to read the book of Mormon. Mormons are the biggest racists. By their teaching they are anti-African-Americans. Do you know why Romney's grandparents went to Mexico from Utah? They were escaping anti-polygamy laws in the U.S. Romney has literally 200 second cousins!! He is definitely a staunch Mormon.

Teens go to school wearing shirts with pop culture references and principals suspend them on that basis however a man attends a campaign rally with security literally EVERYWHERE and this still falls through the gaps? Of course Romney's campaign would find it reprehensible. We all do. But he was there, and nothing was done.

Doctor Mohandes - Vote for the Democrats
by ayatoilet1 on Sun Oct 14, 2012 09:43 AM PDTMake sure you vote for the Democrats and tell all your friends (if you have any to do so too).
There are literally hundreds of thousands of Glens in the Republican party. And I agree both the Glenns of the World and the Ahmadinejads (along with the Mullahs) must go. One of these Glenns just won a local primary in my State - beat a moderate Republican. This guy is openly anti - everything (Jew, Muslim...) - from the Tea Party crowd. And he got the primary vote.
For the record, I have never advocated the destruction of Israel. But I have advocated against the war mongering (on both sides). And I have advocated against the hatred Geller/Pipes espouse. Like I said, you can only voice your concerns about the blogs on IC, when you get your own house in order and stop the Geller/Pipes's of the world too.
Hate speech has to stop on both side. Everywhere.

by Dr. Mohandes on Sun Oct 14, 2012 09:36 AM PDTToo much piaz and doogh does this to anyone.
Glenn claimed that he shocked the guests at the dinner by asserting that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, “is correct” in saying that “Iran’s nuclear program is going to wipe Israel off the face of the map.” In Glenn’s vision of the future, Iran will use nuclear power for peaceful purposes and will be “the nucleus” around which all other Middle Eastern countries will revolve in “a perfectly harmonious orbit.” Glenn asserted that a united Middle East would then be able to rid the world of Israel, and that countries outside the region would also “kick Jews out of places of power.”
So The first move is to ruin the whole nation and murder innocent israelis and wipe them off the map and then use this power in the most possible peacful way.
Was the booye gande Arage pa of some of the participant or too much god damn piaz and doogh that made glenn ali say this??
I am afraid of the Tea Party Crowd ...
by ayatoilet1 on Sun Oct 14, 2012 09:33 AM PDTI have witnessed their rallys and I don;t think it would be good for Iranian-Americans.
I am also concerned that some people on this site are trying extremely hard to confuse the legitimate plight of the jewish community with the actions of the government of Israel. Iranian love the Jewish community, but have an absolute right to stand against the government of Israel and their agents whereever they are....including people like Geller and Pipes in the U.S. who mingle with the Tea Party crowd.
Paul Ryan is from the TP wing of the GOP. And Romney is close to Netenyahu.
That is it. And I think my concerns are legitimate. And I will stand up for them. I bear no malice, no hatred. I am trying to promote peace and prosperity for Iran. And I am definitely against the regime in Iran and people like the Rajavis.
I am also afraid that Iran's national interests are NOT even being considered as the conversation on Iran get polarized. Iranians have legitimate national interests and I am proud to stand up for it. And one of them is to produce power by nuclear means (when the fossil fuels finish how will Iran produce power? How will Iran produce potable water from the Sea, while its fresh water sources dryup - it will need a lot of nuclear power and electrodesalination plants to produce it from the Sea ...its all logical). THe Nuclear program in Iran is a long-term, multi-regime investment. The Americans and the Shah started it. It will continue after the Mullahs are gone. Standing up for the Nuclear program is NOT supporting the Mullahs at all.
And I honestly I do sit back and reflect on the feedback. I believe my point of view is well reasoned and balanced.

Vildemose - Please do not confuse the readers ...
by ayatoilet1 on Sun Oct 14, 2012 09:19 AM PDTThere is a huge difference between Anti-Semetism and standing up to Israel's balkanization of Iran and support for the MEK, and funding of hate against Iranians.
Ahmadinezhad is a bastard, and so is the regime in Iran. That doesn't mean the people of Iran should pay the price. I absolutely do NOT condone him, or his conferences or any anti-Jewish stance he has ever espoused. I have visited Auchwitz and have seen the horor there. I am deeply care about Jewish suffering and the genocide that occured under Hitler. Believe I really honestly care. I love the Jewish community. Iranians have a long history of alliance and connection with the Jewish community.
It is precisely because of this compassion that I am arguing that it is NOT in the jewish community's interests to have Netenyahu pick a fight with the people of Iran and support the balkanization of Iran, support people like the Rajavis that have sided with Iran's enemies.
And it is absolutely correct to stand up to this. And it is wrong for people to stand idle and let Israeli leaders do or say whatever they want. And it is also wrong to promote similar leadership in Europe of the US that seeks to go after a class of people. Today it will be Muslims, tomorrow it could very well be Jews.
When someone like this shows up at a Romney Rally and stands without anyone questioning him - should that not make people think? He was there in Ohio yesterday, in front of Romney. (Huffington Post).
Take it easy on me! And think about my point of view and do not reject it out of hand. I bear no malice. I bear no hatred. And be aware that the direction Netenyahu is leading Israel and Netenyahu's connection with Romney is very dangerous NOT just for Iran, but also the world...and certainly NOT good for the U.S.

October 5, 20122 Anti-Semite Mark Glenn Gave Speech at Ahmadinejad Dinner in New YorkAdditional information has emerged about American extremists invited by the Iranian government to a dinner honoring Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in New York City on September 25, 2012. Ahmadinejad was in town to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
Mark Glenn’s official invitiation to the Ahmadinejad dinner
In addition to Louis Farrakhan, the Iranian government invited Mark Glenn, a virulently anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist (who claims that Jews control banks, the stock exchange, politicians and the media) to speak at the dinner. Glenn, who makes regular appearances on Press TV, Iran’s English-language satellite network, used the dinner as an opportunity to attack Jews and Israel.
Glenn discussed his speech on the September 27 edition of his program on “The Ugly Truth,” an anti-Semitic online radio network and blog he runs. Glenn claimed that he shocked the guests at the dinner by asserting that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, “is correct” in saying that “Iran’s nuclear program is going to wipe Israel off the face of the map.” In Glenn’s vision of the future, Iran will use nuclear power for peaceful purposes and will be “the nucleus” around which all other Middle Eastern countries will revolve in “a perfectly harmonious orbit.” Glenn asserted that a united Middle East would then be able to rid the world of Israel, and that countries outside the region would also “kick Jews out of places of power.”

by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sun Oct 14, 2012 08:52 AM PDTNo other government, since the defeat of Nazi Germany more than 60 years ago, has gone as far as officialy organising a conference, attended by such "experts"as an ex KKK leader and a fake Doctor pretending to be an elected president of that nation, to deny the Nazi attrocities during the second world war.
