Arghavane Rezai, the French born Iranian tennis star, have done great this year. She almost beat Serena Williams, the world number one earlier this year. But what she has done since is even more impressive as she has defeated both Justin Henin and Jankovic in the same tournament.
Here's some match highlights, Rezai vs Jankovic:

I think Rezai will be ranked in the low teens after this tournament regardless of the outcome.
This goes to show the potential our women have to compete at the highest level but are not given a chance to do so.

Rezai stuns Venus to take Madrid Open title
by Red Wine on Sun May 16, 2010 08:57 AM PDTMADRID (Reuters) - Aravane Rezai blasted her way to the biggest singles title of her career when she stunned fourth seed Venus Williams 6-2 7-5 in the Madrid Open final on Sunday.
The unseeded Frenchwoman, who beat world number four Jelena Jankovic in the quarter-finals, tries to hit the cover off the ball on almost every shot and won five straight games on the clay in the Magic Box arena to seal victory.
It was the third title of her career after triumphs in Strasbourg and Bali last year and set the 23-year-old from St. Etienne up nicely for the French Open starting later this month.

by pas-e-pardeh on Sat May 15, 2010 07:38 PM PDTI've been following her since she beat Matsui in the Fr3ench open. But, she had a disappointing year last year. I'm glad to see she's doing well this year. She is very powerful. Look forward to seeing her in the Grand Slams. Where can I watch the match with Venus? When is it?
From the same website:
"Among Rezai's victims en route to the final were Justine Henin and Jelena Jankovic. After falling to Rezai, the No.7-seeded Jankovic said she had never played against anyone who hits "every single ball as hard as that."
