For the "Iran, a reflection" Series

Dear Azarin
by Nazy Kaviani on Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:28 AM PDTThank you for your beautiful poem.
Writing will save you. When you "feel" as much as you do, you need to release yourself from the burden of those feelings by writing.
Your writing saves me, because I get to read it and find solace in the shared pain. Simple as that. Thank you sweet Azarin.
Thank you Nazy jan!
by Azarin Sadegh on Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:16 AM PDTFirst, I have to thank Nazy for her wonderful suggestion.
It has been hard for me to sit, doing nothing, feeling guilty, and to watch what's happening to these beautiful kids in Iran. So I thought maybe by writing a poem I'd feel better, less guilty.
Still, nothing has really changed for me. I still feel the same; helpless. So, now I wonder if art is ever capable of saving us after all?
Thanks to all of you! Azarin
